Description
Hi, we are Polish/Bulgarian art couple, Kasia & Ventzi. Welcome to our wonderful country Art House in the village Staro Zhelezare. We will need your help during the whole summer - July, August and September! :) :) :) You are welcome ;)
Our village is full of murals, our place is the kind of the rural Art House placed in the piteresque Balcan garden, gathering artists, nomads, kind people loving nature, slow life. We paint murals each summer mainly with portraits of local people and personalities from all around the world.
You are welcome to our home, to help us keep our place in a good shape, help with gardening, a lot of DIY, and so on. Always a lot of work needed :)
We look also for people, who can help us to make for us materials for social media - Reels, Posts for Instagram, etc.
It would be also possibility to paint something if you wish, but you don't have to be the artist to visit us:)
We propose nice accommodation at our Art House, an artistic atmosphere, being in the middle of local tradition, in the heart of the Balkans.
Our project is non-profit and we are not accepting paying guests at our place.
We are in Bulgaria each summer - July, August and September. You are welcome during this period.

You could really feel the village life in Bulgaria, the atmosphere and warm social contacts. There is a local pub in the open air where you can meet for local simple breakfast, through the whole day till night. The village has its original atmosphere because of the murals, known in the country, but not yet touristic, in bad meaning.
We have tasty organic grapes, and sweet figs. You can get tomatoes and eggplants directly from the field of our friend.
The village is also known for the slow food activity of our local grannies at the ethnographic House of Traditions.
Learning language and local traditions comes naturally.
Help
Help in DIY is needed. Help us keep our place in a good shape, help with gardening, home work like cleaning after meals.
We look also for people, who can help us to make for us materials for social media - Reels, Posts for Instagram, etc.

Accommodation
We have nice renovated rooms with bedding at the old village house; for 1-3 persons.
There is also a big art atelier with a nice relax area to use.
There is also a separated kitchen for you opened to workawayers garden. When you wish, you can make some food for yourself here, you can eat also with us. We could improvise:)
What else ...
We have a car here and go often to nearby villages to other shops, you can go with us.
After lunch we have a siesta for about 1h, you don't have to.

I spent time with Ventsi and Kasia in July; I helped them with several tasks including some cleaning & gardening work and I also met some of their friends and their son, unfortunately only on my last day. We also took a day trip to Plovdiv & had a couple of BBq's.
