Francois and Sandy were here with their friends Chloe and Kevin. It was a fantastic experience. They were all very nice, enthusiastic, helpful and hardworking. They often had good ideas that definitely helped us a lot and that we will definitely use Each had his own talent. They helped us make our dream come true a bit more by helping renovate the
… read more house, they have been busy in our orchard, made a start on the vegetable garden and the swimming pool. They also translated some things into French for me so that our French guests will have the right information when they come to stay here. But apart from that, it was just great to get to know them all over a drink and a nice bbq. Should they be in the area again, they are always very welcome here.
Kevin, Chloé, François and I went around one month with Jenny’s family. It was really great time. They are all really kind, inclusive and generous!
We were all thinking together about the work we could do to develop the different projects and our ideas were always taken into account with kindness. We learn about a lot of things with all of the

The tasks here are varied: renovation of the beautiful house (castle!!); build a pool; gardening (cleaning, weeding, pruning,…), we were not bored and we had always a lot of time to relax, enjoy the place, play games, share a paella or a barbecue with the family, etc.
The area is beautiful: mountains, lakes, good ambiance in the village nearby, plenty of hikes possible… Freddy and Jenny were also super available to drop us in some wonderful places, to give perfect advices, to lend a car… And, also, super flexible on working time to make sure that we can visit the surrounding area easily when we wanted.
In addition with all of that, we were really served like VIP… with delicious pastrys made by Jenny and always nice dishes prepared with love !
Thank you for everything Jenny, Freddy, the girls, Stacey, Jenny’s parents, … And the dogs of course :)
We wish you all the best and more.

Jenny, Freddy and their two daugthers are a lovely dutch family. The second I arrived I felt welcome and had a really nice time. They are all open minded, communicative and supportive. They even showed me a little bit of the area and told me storries about their own travels. You can really see and feel, that they are travellers themselves and

Everything started with me beeing in the area and just sending them a message, asking if they are interested in meeting me. And shortly after that I was invited to stay with them.
I stayed for two weeks and could help with several things, like taking care of the three dogs and the adorable cat. One of the dogs was still a puppy and was truly gorgeous.
Also I could give them a hand with some tasks around the house and they asked for my opinion referring to the roof construction of the "casita".
I was provided with delicious food from Jenny, who is a warm hearted person and loves to cook for people.
I love the house and the "garden". You can see beautiful sun sets between the hills and walk between many many orange and lemon trees. I was allowed to pick as many fruits as I wanted and eat them myself. That was delicious and a very nice treat.
I honestly wish, that our paths cross again some day and I can see how the whole building turned out. Maybe again as a workawayer or as a future guest in one of those beautiful rooms you are going to refurbish in the old house. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Even though we were not quite ready to host people yet, Nathalie came with her lovely little camper. She is a spontaneous, sweet and helpful girl and it soon felt very familiar and at ease. She helped us a lot with taking care of the animals and the construction of the roof. She also played games with our daughter and taught us how to make
