    Description

We are a multicultural family with roots in Dominica, Germany and Spain, living in a house nestled halfway up a hill, surrounded by nature and the beautiful landscapes of Dominica.

This is our family project: a guesthouse in our home where we welcome travellers from all over the world. We are building and developing this project step by step, creating a place where people can feel at home, connect with nature and share meaningful experiences.

We try to live as self-sufficiently and sustainably as possible. We have gardens where we grow our own food, collect rainwater and are always exploring new ways to live in harmony with our surroundings.

We enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing skills and ideas, and learning from one another. We are looking for people who are happy to get involved, take initiative and become part of our everyday life while staying with us.

As a family, we are cheerful and love spending time outdoors. We enjoy going to the beach, exploring the island, hiking, swimming in rivers and discovering all the natural beauty Dominica has to offer. We also love sharing meals, conversations, laughter and time together with the people who come to stay with us.

For us, this is not just a guesthouse; it is a project we are building with love, creativity and a desire to share our home with others. We hope to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where guests and Workawayers alike can feel comfortable, contribute, exchange experiences and enjoy life surrounded by nature.

If you enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, nature, hospitality, creative projects and being part of a multicultural family environment, we would love to welcome you to here and share a little piece of our life in Dominica with you.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange is a natural part of everyday life. We are a multicultural family with roots in Dominica, Germany and Spain, and we love sharing our different cultures, traditions, food, languages and ways of seeing the world.

By staying with us, Workawayers have the opportunity to discover Dominican life and culture, learn about the island and its people, and experience the beauty of living close to nature. We enjoy sharing meals, cooking together, exchanging recipes, telling stories and learning from each other’s experiences.

We also love exploring the island together, going to the beach, hiking, swimming in rivers and discovering local places. We believe that some of the best cultural exchanges happen naturally through these shared moments.

We are always happy to learn about our Workawayers’ countries, traditions, skills and ideas, too. For us, hosting people is a two-way exchange: everyone brings something unique, and we all have the opportunity to learn, grow and see the world from a different perspective.

Our goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming and respectful environment where people from different backgrounds can connect, share experiences and feel at home while discovering life in Dominica.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will stay in our family home, where we offer a shared room for two people. When the house is quieter and a private room is available, we may also be able to offer you a room of your own.

Our guesthouse project is still growing and evolving, so during the first few days, you may help us organise and prepare the space where you will be staying. Together, we can make it comfortable, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. We see this as a lovely opportunity to help shape the project from the beginning.

You will have access to the kitchen and the shared areas of our home, and we hope you will feel at ease here while respecting our shared living environment.

We also grow fruit and vegetables in our garden, and you are welcome to enjoy as much of the seasonal produce as you like.

We have a garden where you are welcome to enjoy as much fresh fruit and vegetables as you like. You will also have access to our shared kitchen, which you can use whenever you want. We will generally share quite a few meals together as a family, as we enjoy cooking, eating and spending time together. However, we like to keep things flexible and go with the flow, depending on our daily plans and whether we are at home. We are happy to find a rhythm that feels comfortable for everyone!

We are open to new ideas and enjoy finding creative ways to do things together. Every exchange is different, so we like to remain flexible, communicate openly and find a way of sharing our space and daily life that feels comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

Most of all, we offer the chance to experience life in Dominica, connect with nature, share everyday moments with our multicultural family and become part of the ongoing development of this project in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
