Description
Hi everyone! We are a family of three. I (Irem,41) am an online TEFL teacher. My husband Emre (42) is a mechanical engineer. Our son Toprak (4) has just started kindergarten in September.
We live on the 4th & 5th floor of a 5-storey apartment building with elevator in Konyaaltı (Antalya). We have 4 bedrooms and you will have plenty of space for yourself. Famous Konyaaltı Beach is only 1 k away from our house. On Tuesdays, a massive bazaar is held (only 5 minutes walk from our place), offering a wide variety of fresh, local vegetables and fruits.
We prefer workawayers who love communicating with kids as we ask you to spend time with Toprak and help him practice English. You are expected to cook and clean (sometimes), we also enjoy cooking together as we love cuisine from other countries. Both my husband and I used to travel abroad extensively as students and also after graduating from university (we were active on Couchsurfing and Hospitalityclub). We lived in countries like Finland, Thailand and Mexico. We love learning about other cultures and sharing stories.
From the minute you arrive you will be treated as a member of our family. We hope you look after our house as if it was yours and do the chores that you would do in yours, such as keeping the kitchen clean after the meals and keeping your bedroom and toilet clean.Types of help and learning opportunities

There is always a festival nearby as we live in the heart of Antalya. We enjoy listening to live music so can take you to an event if it interests you.
We are pretty much into permaculture and sustainability although we moved to the city 5 years ago.We used to volunteer on farms and also lived for a while on ours. We would be happy to show you famous Geyikbayırı village in the mountains as it is only 20 min drive from our place.Help

You will have your own room on the second floor of our apartment. It comes with a double bed, terrace, a kitchen and a bathroom as well. Our bedrooms are on the first floor of our dublex apartment.
We mostly cook traditional Turkish cuisine (soup, vegetables, salad etc.). You are welcome to cook for yourself if you have a vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free diet.
We will be offering food (breakfast and dinner) as part of the exchange. What else ...
We enjoy getting to know new people so mainly we are looking to connect with like-minded workawayers who are willing to open their hearts and minds. Our little son also enjoys meeting people from other cultures, that's why we think hosting you would enrich our lives as we are not able to travel often due to our jobs.
There is a lot to do in and around Konyaaltı in your time off. You can go for a swim on the beach, take long walks, visit stylish cafes. The bus station is 5 min walk from our place and there are buses to plenty of neighborhoods in Antalya.A little more information
