One thing for certain that most workawayers have described their situation here was: good vibes only! We are a chill, exciting bunch of people who come from all four corners of the world. We work as a team, learn from each other and take care of each other. We cook meals together and eat together, we spend time at the fire getting to know each other (and the travellers) telling stories or playing music.
Most people who come to stay with us are outdoor enthusiast and take advantage of their time here by exploring all the magnificent hiking trails and outdoor activities there are to do in Charlevoix, Québec.

Living in an Auberge, in the middle of beautiful scenery with great people is exciting! But it comes with work! First and foremost, we require help with general maintenance and housekeeping work. The priority is to help with room cleaning to ensure smooth transitions between guests. Other than that, is to ensure that all common areas are clean and tidy communal kitchen, co-working space, outdoor spaces such as terrace, pool and firepit) sleeping areas and so on. After this, there is room for work where you can flex your skills at. If you're good with your hands, you can help out our wonderful maintenance crew. If you like to garden, please make our gardens looks beautiful! If you would like to teach yoga or offer some other kind of service, we welcome all new ideas to make out space more exciting for guests.
We also offer minimum wage in accordance with our laws for all hours worked.
We require at least 5 days a week of work with two days off. Day shifts mostly (10-3) with an hour for lunch. This schedule may vary depending on the tasks. We also ask for some flexiblity from our workawayers.
We have private rooms available for our workawayers in the main building. Some rooms have a shared bathroom, and some have a private bathrooms. When its off season and very quiet, a workaway may stay in one of the regular, less occupied guest rooms, but will be expected to move when busy season starts up! As for food, we have a communal kitchen that you can use at your disposal to cook whenever you please.
What you do on your time off is up to you! You can chill around the auberge and just enjoy the view, hangout by the pool, chill by the campfire at night for our 5 à 7. We never know whats gonna happen at night! Always new people to meet, good food and good wine. There are so many beautiful trails to discover. We have two national parks within 30 minutes , and a million other places to go hike. We are also close to Le massif which is Quebecs highest ski mountain, if you're interested in winter sports! We are close to Baie-St-Paul, a very charming village with great places to eat and small cafés. We are 1.5 hours away from Quebec city if you're interested in exploring there for a day or two!
