Description
A family of 3 ( husband, wife and 2.5 year old boy) located in Vernon BC. New to hosting, we are looking for someone to come enjoy our 27 acre farm and experience all the Okanagan has to offer.
We have a spacious log home, surrounded by lakes, mountains, trees, wildlife, but conveniently located only 10min drive to town!
On our farm we currently have horses, ducks, dogs and a cat! Large garden and fruit trees. -

We are especially interested in inviting a French speaking workaway who is willing to speak and read French to our son. My husband is fluent French Canadian. -
Help
We are looking for approximately 20 hours a week helping with various tasks around the home and farm, as well as assimilate into the family with general clean up and preppings meals. Our aim is to be fair and also provide a great experience that’s benefits both the host and workaway :)
Some tasks could include,
-Feeding and watering animals- Horses, dogs, ducks.
-Garden maintenance- watering, weeding and harvesting.
-Collecting and washing eggs.
-Assisting with DIY yard projects outside.
-Light household cleaning and organizing.
-Childcare/ supervision for short periods.
- Independently taking care of the animals if we are away. -

Accommodation
Our accommodation offers,
Large private bedroom in a walkout basement (with access to the outdoors) views of the mountain, lake and pool. It has a king size bed, ample room and wood stove.
Private bathroom
Private laundry
Use of outdoor pool (seasonally may- September) and hottub.
Breakfast and lunch would be self serve with full access to kitchen and food stocked.
Dinner is family style, sit down, and occasionally we would ask you to prep or assist with cooking.

We live 10 min to downtown Vernon BC but transportation is limited.
We have very close access to the rail trail for biking and Kalamalka lake for swimming.
There is walking and some hiking on our property.
Located 25 min from Kelowna international airport.
High speed Wifi and good cell service.
Our preference is no smoking, no drugs, no parties.
Social drinking is acceptable.
Preference to someone who has a current drivers license and experience driving. -
