ATTENTION COUPLES / FAMILIES / FRIENDS: we are currently in need of someone to care for our pets (2 dogs and 3 cats) from June 15th to July 2nd. Additionally, we may ask for your help with social media and various small building projects (some walls to paint, wooden fences to fix, gardening, etc) - so, if you happen to have these skills combined, all the best.

We are looking for someone who can STAY THE ENTIRE TIME, so please do not apply if this is a problem for you. During this time we'll need your help looking after our pets and our home. Things like taking care of the garden and handling small issues if they arise.

The bonus? You get to have an entire cottage just to yourselves. It's tiny (about 36sq m) but it has everything you need for a nice stay (comfy king size bed, nice shower, kitchen, sunny balcony, hammocks). It's 3km away from the beaches - and we have a couple of bikes for you to get around. July is a quiet time around here (low season) but winter break from schools should bring a bit of buzz into town.

    ABOUT US:
We are a family of 8: Edu, Livia, our daughter Nina, 2 dogs and 3 cats, living in slow, quiet and beautiful Praia da Ribanceira (in the city of Imbituba). Edu and I used workaway as volunteers while traveling the world, and now we turn to the platforms as hosts.

Imbituba is known for its beautiful surf friendly beaches and untouched nature (for now).

It's a typical small Santa Catarina town, where traditions are strong and much of the local culture may be experienced.

Public transport is a bit on the low side, so u can use our bikes to explore the surroundings. There's wifi, a big garden and many house projects to work on if you are so inclined. Get creative - we'll love it. ;)

Edu and I are brazilians, living in Ibiraquera for 6 years now. Ibiraquera is a typical Santa Catarina village, where much of the traditions are still alive (u can get food directly from the farmers, fish from the fisherman, enjoy the local festivities such as the shrimp and tainha festivals, etc). We look forward to exchanging in many ways: stories, recipes, ideas, etc.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Ibiraquera is a nature oriented place. Not much of a social life, but amazing beaches, waves, trails and historic sights. The sun shines here 300 days of the year, which makes it nice to be outside.

In the house we are very laid back and chill. Mostly spend our time listening to music, watching surf videos, hanging out with friends and now taking care of the little one. Edu is a surfer and a brewer (yes, we make our own beer) and Livia is a gemini, meaning she is a jack of all trades, master of none, always trying new things (from meditation to kabbalah to drumming to african dancing... Depends on the day).
