Description
Greetings,
We have an adventure tourism business with accommodation for clients. Since I travel often, I need someone to help look after the dogs and run any errands while I am away. Typically, this is for 3-4 weeks at a time.
We are located in the Winelands suburbs of Cape Town. You will get your own bedroom and bathroom to use while I am away.
There are lots of activities in our area. If there is available space, you might even join our trips.
Summary:
1) The only mandatory assistance is to walk the dogs every day for 1-2 hours. A driving license (for a manual transmission) is required to use our vehicle to take the dogs to/from the dog park.
2) We provide accommodation in the form of a private bedroom, a shared/private bathroom, cooking facilities and a refrigerator.
3) Cultural benefits include interaction with our staff, some possible interaction with guests and local community at the dog park.
4) Any further involvement is voluntary and cannot be remunerated. There is no requirement to work onsite.
Please note:
You MUST have own health insurance and travel insurance. We are also not set up to handle any medical issues. If you have allergies, or any special needs, please be aware our place is not suitable for those requirements.
Thanks for your understanding

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Languages, culture, global citizens, we have it all. We get people from all over the world.
There are 3 elements to the cultural exchange:
1) Our local employees. We have own staff onsite, from South Africa and Malawi.
2) The park where we walk the dogs is busy with local people. There we meet an interact with the local community
3) Guests. Some guests expect complete privacy, so for those guests, no interaction is possible. Other guests are celebrating an event such as a birthday, graduation or ocompany event. Often , there is opportunity to participate
Finally, there are a lot of cultural activities in Cape Town and locally in our suburbHelp
There are so many ways to help out, I can’t list them. I’ll look at profiles and try to match up the skills with roles.
The primary role is to assist with our dogs. We have 3 dogs and they need to be walked every day when I am away. The successful applicant will need to drive the dogs to the park once or twice daily and walk the dogs for 1-2 hours. This is not really work, its more fun to walk and enjoy meeting people and ensuring dogs get their daily exercise.
