My dad is a retired builder and dry stone waller, who also grew up on a farm. I (Isla) am an Anthropology student who's occasionally gotten roped into helping him out with his building projects and dry stone walls too! I enjoy cooking (especially vegetarian food) and my previous jobs have included waitressing and working as a cleaner. I'm currently trying my hand at growing a vegetable patch and I'd love to learn more about permaculture. I also speak a little Portuguese.

We both love reading, travelling and painting. My dad is into motorbikes (both touring and fixing them up). My (isla's) favourite things to do include hiking, kayaking, meditation, dancing and martial arts.
