My next destination:
Indonesia - from Mar 2025 until Jun 2025 View allDescription
Hello :) I graduated in Geography from the University of Manchester last year and have been travelling since January. I'm a curious, adventurous, sporty, creative, adaptable, happy, and fun person, fascinated by the world.
In both my studies and general life, I am interested in the environment, people's varied connections to nature, sustainable agri/aquaculture, and grassroots/community projects, so would love to share knowledge and learn by getting involved in projects entailing these.
I have lots of hobbies, am interested in just about everything, will get my hands stuck in with anything, and jump at any opportunity or challenge! I enjoy hiking, sports, art, cooking, dancing, gardening, camping, reading, animals, wildlife, learning about different cultures, and simply just spending time in the outdoors and having fun. I also love hearing people's stories about how they interact with the world, no matter how mundane! I love keeping busy with activities but also spending time sitting and enjoying my surroundings; there is nothing better than enjoying a view up a mountain or watching a sunset.
I do lots of volunteering, ranging from tree planting to chatting to care home residents, and find it really rewarding. I also love working in hospitality, relishing its fast-paced social environment.
I am excited to meet new people, properly live life, and truly experience the heart of places I visit!Interests

More details about your skills
From jobs at home and for Workaways I have farm experience with vegetables and animals which I really enjoy. I am very creative; I love drawing, painting, photography, etc..., and I would love to use these skills during a Workaway! I have done a lot of customer service and hospitality work and volunteering (e.g. pubs/bars, shops, care homes etc.) so am very good with people, children, and teamwork. I did a year abroad as part of my degree where I met so many people from around the world which definitely added to this skillset. I have a lot of tree planting and gardening experience from both hobbies and volunteering, and love getting involved with anything green. As part of my degree, I learnt a lot about socio-environmental problems and solutions, and would love to pass this on and/or learn more. For example, small scale and urban agriculture, sustainable aquaculture, Indigenous knowledges, planning, and how people connect to environments. I love wildlife and animals so would be keen to work with these too.
Generally, I'm very adaptable, quick to pick up new skills, love trying knew things, and am up for getting involved with anything!Age
