    Description

Hi! We're Paola and Andrew, and we live and work on a small private farm just outside the village of Beltra—about 20 minutes from Sligo town, nestled between the mountains and the wild Atlantic Ocean. We focus on growing organic vegetables for ourselves in our walled garden and polytunnel.

We’re looking for help with a variety of seasonal tasks, around our vegetable and flower garden, including:
    - Weeding and soil prep
    - Sowing and harvesting vegetables
    - Wood gathering
    - General garden and flower tasks
    - Occasional help playing with our two young children (ages 5 and 3) in the afternoons (if you're up for it)

This is a hands-on, outdoorsy experience ideal for someone who enjoys helping with nature. In return, we offer nice accommodation, good food, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. Please note that we grow vegetable for ourselves and it is not a commercial operation.

There's plenty of natural beauty nearby—beaches, hiking trails, and a strong local community.

We look forward to hearing from you!

The West of Ireland is rich in heritage (neolithic tombs) and music. We enjoy sharing what we know about the area we live. In addition we are close by the ocean, so you can go for a surf!

There are many interesting and fun things to do around Sligo. Have a look at Strandhill for surfing, Carrowmore, Carrowkeel for neolithic tombs. There are also very nice walks/treks in the area (i.e. Knocknarea mountain).
