Description
I have lived in San Pedro since many years. I would love during your stay you could be connected and fall in love with this amazing lake its flora and fauna and ones this happens you can experience pure joy, gratitude for our mother earth and a personal growth.
On the property lives a female dog, a female cat, a local worker and sometimes one or two tenants. In the house above there lives a couple from time to time.
As the garden of the property is quite big, the main task will be to help us and a local worker with gardening and maintaining the houses & property.Types of help and learning opportunities

By hosting people, I hope to also learn about different cultures, about their music, traditions, believes, food, their own philosophy of live, own experiences, knowledge and skills etc.Help

Fully equipped kitchen, hand painted furniture, a traditional Guatemalan mosaic sink, a shower with excellent hot solar water pressure, a good quality bed and pillows with sheets & pillow cases, a large fenced yard.
36 sqm house & porch with a lovely garden view. 9.25 sqm covered patio with spectacular lake and mountains view.
The property has 3 units connected by a common wall. Each unit hast its own entrance and own garden for maximum privacy. Due to the proximity of tenants, we maintain a responsible level of noise to respect our neighbors' tranquility.
We ask you not to hold parties, hold large gatherings or use drugs on the property. Each house in the property has its own private porch, own entrance and own garden. The street and compost back garden gates are for all of us who live on the property. You climb around 40 steps up going to your house. Sadly pets are not allowed. Only the bathroom and bedroom walls are 2 meters high well ventilated and illuminated, the other areas are standard height . A tenant is living in one house and we are living in the other house. You receive a house with a previous spring cleaning. We appreciate you do a spring cleaning in your house before you check out.
No meals are included.
If you have a vehicle, you can park on the road or in a private parking lot five minutes away.
The house is big enough to host 2 people. THERE IS JUST ONE SLEEPING ROOM WITH ONE KING SIZE BED, SO IT IS GOOD FOR A COUPLE.
Wi-Fi optic fiber 5 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up, and there is asymmetrical sharing between the three houses. You can add it through the internet provider if you need faster speed. 1) 150Q monthly per 5 Mbps down more, adding to the 5 Mbps I offer. Total: 10 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up asymmetrical. 2) 250Q monthly for 5 Mbps up more and 8 Mbps down more. Total: 10 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up asymmetrical.
San Pedro is mainly rural, we sometimes experience power outages. An extra battery and a Guatemalan SIM card will help mitigate the effects of power outages. What else ...
During your time off you can go for a walk, ride a bike, horse riding, swimming in the lake by taking a hiking trail on the other side of the road; take salsa/ painting/yoga/cooking/Spanish classes. Between 10 minutes of home there are 3 highly rated restaurants, several grocery stores, 2 laundry facilities, 2 swimming pools, 2 Spanish schools.
15 minutes walking from home you can eat a traditional Guatemalan lunch for a good price. In downtown you can visit a pub, a restaurant, a museum or visit a Mirador.
You also can take a public boat to visit the different towns around the lake, or take a public bus or a shuttle and visit Quetzaltenango or Chichicastenango. Or just to hang out on your patio enjoying the lovely view of the mountains, sky, lake, birds, dragonflies, butterflies and feel the sun energy.
At night enjoy the moon when is orange and its bright light is reflecting into the lake super powerful or listening to the crickets then your soul is filled up. When is windy you hear the water sounds from the lake like you are on the sea.
We appreciate, you respect the property rules and privacy: the workers, the pets, not smoking indoor and outdoor, not using drugs, not drinking, not partying, no visitors, no pets, music and tv moderate volume, classifying the trash, do compost.A little more information
