    Hi!
    I'm Jorge, 46, portuguese , living in a 2ha farm in need (mainly) of organic vegetable gardening ,farming and construction skills. Me and my partner, own this farm since 2012 but only live here for the last year. There's lots of fruit trees, big vegetable garden, all organic. Help us making this farm prosper and more sustainable. Be part of this project! :)

    For a start , we're portuguese, in a place where few portuguese are available to accomodate volunteers, its an opportunity to get to know the portuguese culture, country and ways. I like to talk to people from all over the world and exchange experiences.

    Help in the garden (weeding, hoeing, planting, sowing, drip irrigation systems, composting), prunning, fertilizing fruits trees and bushes, picking olives, maintenance of forest area (wood, strimming), mainly! Help in the house - painting, small installation and repairs.

    Room with single bed. En suite WC with toilet, sink and hot shower(bring your own towel,shampoo etc. please). Can provide a 2/3p tent if you wish. Free of charge washing machine. Meals together. Mainly vegetarian or vegan, no meat, sometimes fish.

    Situated in a valley with lots of foreign young people from several countries, 500m from the village but no neighbours in sight. River Mondego is close also, 1km, with beaches and possiblility of kayaking. 40km from Estrela mountain ridge, Coimbra and Viseu, 60 and 40km, are the big cities around. Sea beaches of Figueira da Foz (good to surf) and Aveiro 100 km distant easily reachable by train. Daily buses available and train station just 7km apart. Can pick you up!
