    Description

In 2008, after years of searching for the perfect place, we found an abandoned coffee plantation to host our food forest. The vision: prove there is a way to do agriculture in a regenerative way so the whole ecosystem benefits.
So we planted many thousands of hardwood trees and cacao beneath the canopy. Silvopasture, agroforestry, permaculture…
    Obviously we struggled a lot
But now we have a thriving forest! Cacao, cardamom, fruits harvests…
We also created this project (from Dalila and Leopold our 2 kids), produce the best ceremonial cacao and ship it around the world.
We are looking for help in marketing and social media to make our story more visible. Our hands are full with farming and chocolate making…
You will live on a truly off the grid farm by the duck pound and experience the cloud forest. Volunteers have their own kitchen with the basics provided. You are encouraged to fish in the pound, gather fresh eggs and herbs, help with the chickens or ducks catching and preparation. Sometimes we sacrifice a cow with the communities. We are upgrading our fruits and flowers orchard and have many kinds of fruits to harvest in most seasons. The place is large and isolated. We produce our own electricity with water and sun to power our stone grinders for the cacao and our Starlink.

The tasks we will ask of you:
-prepare different posts/reels/videos to help us promote our cacao brand and events.
-take the cacao to the patio to sundry it and turn it with the help of a rake
    -fruit harvesting
    -garden and pool maintenance
-feed and take care of animals

For most of the activities, you will accompany a local employee who will show you how to help him/her. We are located in the Maya Q’eqchi area, rich in history and traditions.
We are looking for productive people who can actually help us.
