Description
We are two couples, French and English who are interested in spiritual and energetic matters and exploring new ways of living, healing and education in rural Ariége, Midi-Pyrénées. This region is part of Occitanie. We are South of Toulouse in the foothills of the magnificent Pyrénées. The South facing property set in 6 hectares of garden and woodland. We are enjoying aspects of co-living and co-creating in this peaceful hamlet 2 km from the village of Artigat.
We have a passion for classical, folk and traditional music and singing mainly with guitare as accompaniment..
Marie and Pierre, the French couple, have renovated an old house in a nearby village, so knowledge for maintenance projects woud be an advantage.
There was a group project to build a bicycle workshop now completed as three in the household have a passion in cycling. Some knowledge of, or interest in bicycles would be valuable.
We have a number of guests and often have visitors throughout the year and especially in the Summer. The house and property are shared with cats and dogs. There is a need to care for in particular two the cats who live in the cabin of Helena and John next to the Tiny House away from the main house. Their son Josef is there for most of this time.
Accommodation is in the main house, the Tiny House or a three-room tent in the garden in the summer.
This environment is not suitable for smokers or users of recreational drugs other than very moderate and occasional consumption of alcohol. For your awareness, no one in the household has had the CV-Vax.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Learning French and or English in this bi-lingual, multi-cultural household. The peace and quiet of being in the countryside and nature with views of the Pyrenees foothills and mountains. Developing independence and understanding the basis of exchange and co-creational living. The opportunity to appreciate another culture.
Help
We have some elements of building work depending on your skills.
Carpentry, possible gardening assistance. Ability to work independently. 5 hours work 5 days a week in exchange for accommodation and lodging. A driving licence is an advantage but not essential.Languages

A room in the main house, tiny house or cabin. This may be a tent in the Summer depending on the number of visitors we have. The food we eat is vegetarian, mainly French and also English or other cuisine and meals are often shared. Preparation of food, cooking and household chores, ie cleaning of shared areas is shared and maintaining one's own living space is expected and is not part of the exchange of 5 hours work per day in return for board and lodging including food. Any special dietary needs may not be included.
What else ...
A stunningly beautiful part of France, equidistant from the Aude Valley (with Rennes-le-Château) and Lourdes. The chateau of Montségur is 1 hour away. The Medieval City of Carcassonne is an hour and a half away. Just 20 minutes distant is La Grotte du Mas D'Azil, where a river has formed a tunnel through a mountain and a road was built next the river! This village is where our town house project is located.
The local markets are between 10 and 40 minutes.
The nearest public transport bus is about 8kms. Nearest airport Toulouse Blagnac 1 hour. Train Station at Pamiers 30 minutes.A little more information
