My name is Morgana, I am 39yo and the solo mum of Mélisse, a supercute 4 yo. We live with a lovely female dog named Willow and 3 cats, and there are 4 goats left.
I arrived on this little property, south of the Gers, in the beginning of 2021; I raised goats and made cheese there for five years, I stopped at the end of 2025. The farm is 10 hectares of meadow and woods, surrounded by nature, facing the Pyrenees mountains.
Hosting WorkAwayers has always been a part of the project of moving to a farm. I travelled this way when I was younger and it tought me about other ways of living that inspired me to create a lifestyle focused on nature, based on exchange and helping eachother. On a human level, I am looking in WorkAway for some cultural, values, point of vue, and ideas exchanges.
I also love to speack english and practice other langages, as well as to teach French. I also like a good chat and Mélisse loves to talk and play with our guests :)
As a single mum, it’s hard for me to renovate the house as I’d like, while taking care of my daughter. I am also struggling to organize my place alone, and a helping hand would be really useful.
Work would include, up to your skills and liking:
• a little care of the goats, manure removing, some fencing
• organising , sorting stuffs in the house and around
• light renovation: painting, wooden partitions, insulation, easy electricity...
• wood storage for winter
• gardening, mawing/striming, planting trees
• maybe some future chicken installations?
• in general, making the farm a little more « cute and sustainable », bit by bit
I like to let some autonomy to people, so that each one can bring its little stone to the main project.
You must appreciate some time on your own, it is very quiet, you’d have time to read, walk, meditate, relax.
I don’t set specific working hours or a define split between weekdays and weekends. I work on projects whenever I can—such as when my daughter is at school—which is why autonomy is essential. But the working days are generally not super full, and everyone is free to take breaks according to its own needs.
I like people to feel part of the family. We usually share meals for lunch and dinner, we can cook together or take turns - very happy if you have some cooking skills! We eat pretty much everything.
Standard help in the house required (a quick sweep, washing up..).
The living conditions are quiet simple as it’s an old little farmhouse that is still in renovation, quiet rustic!
You will be hosted in the tiny caravan or in the chalet, both confortable and warm. The all thing facing the beautiful countryside and Pyrenees Mountains.
We use dry toilet (outside in the garden – nice vue!). Nice and warm bathroom inside the house.

Je m'appelle Morgana, j'ai 39 ans et je suis la maman solo de Mélisse, une adorable petite fille de 4 ans. Nous vivons avec une chienne très gentille nommée Willow, trois chats et quatre chèvres.
Je me suis installée sur cette petite propriété du sud du Gers début 2021 ; j'y ai élevé des chèvres et fabriqué du fromage pendant cinq ans, j’ai arrêté fin 2025. La ferme s'étend sur 10 hectares de prairies et de bois, en pleine nature et face aux Pyrénées.
Accueillir des volontaires Workaway a toujours fait partie de mon projet d'installation à la ferme. J'ai moi-même voyagé de cette façon quand j'étais plus jeune ; ces expériences m'ont fait découvrir d'autres modes de vie et m'ont inspirée à créer un quotidien tourné vers la nature, fondé sur l'échange et l'entraide. Sur le plan humain, je recherche à travers Workaway des échanges autour de la culture, des valeurs, des points de vue et des idées.
J'adore parler anglais et pratiquer d'autres langues, tout comme enseigner le français. J'aime aussi discuter, et Mélisse adore bavarder et jouer avec nos invités :)
En tant que maman solo, il m'est difficile de rénover la maison comme je le souhaiterais tout en m'occupant de ma fille. J'ai aussi du mal à organiser l'espace toute seule, et un coup de main serait vraiment précieux.
Les tâches incluraient, selon vos compétences et vos envies :
• un peu de soin aux chèvres, curage du fumier, quelques travaux de clôture
• organisation et tri d'affaires dans la maison et aux alentours
• petits travaux de rénovation : peinture, cloisons en bois, isolation, électricité simple...
• stockage du bois pour l'hiver
• jardinage, tonte/débroussaillage, plantation d'arbres
• peut-être l'installation d’un futur poulailler ?
• de manière générale, rendre la ferme un peu plus « jolie et durable », petit à petit.
J'aime laisser de l'autonomie aux gens, afin que chacun puisse apporter sa pierre à l'édifice.
Il faut pouvoir apprécier de passer des moments seul.e ; l'endroit est très calme, l’occasion de prendre le temps de lire, se promener, méditer, se reposer.
Je ne prévois pas d’horaires de travail précis ni de répartition jours de semaine/weekends, j’avance sur les projets quand je peux – quand ma fille est à l’école – d’où le besoin d’autonomie. Les journées ne sont généralement pas très chargées et chacun.e est libre de ses temps de repos selon ses besoins.
J'aime que les gens aient le sentiment de faire partie de la famille. Nous partageons généralement le déjeuner et le dîner ; nous pouvons cuisiner ensemble ou à tour de rôle (je serais ravie si vous avez des talents de cuisinièr.e !). Nous mangeons de tout. Une participation normale aux tâches ménagères est demandée (un petit coup de balai, la vaisselle...).
Les conditions de vie sont assez simples car il s'agit d'une vieille petite ferme encore en rénovation : c'est assez rustique !
Vous serez hébergé(e) dans la petite caravane ou dans le chalet, tous deux confortables et cosy. Le tout fait face à la magnifique campagne et aux Pyrénées.
Nous utilisons des toilettes sèches (dehors dans le jardin – super vue !). La salle de bain, agréable et chauffée, est dans la maison.

Accommodation
There is a wooden cabin in front of the house, with a double mattress, and a small caravan, single mattress. Can be tent in summer too.
Grey waters goes back in the fields so better if you could use biodegradable products.
Il y a un chalet en bois devant la maison dans laquel vous pourrez dormir (matelas double), et une petite caravane. Pourquoi pas en tente l'été aussi.
Les eaux usées de la maison repartent dans le terrain donc il sera préférable d'utiliser des produits biodégradables. -
What else ...
We are located in a beautiful area, with the Pyrenees nearby. Visit local markets, lakes, countryside around.
The nearest bus station is 15mins driving from the farm, taking you to Toulouse.
The lake is a big hour walking away or a 5 mins drive.
We can also take you to the market with us when we go, visit friends and other farms …
And we can go have a swim in the lake nearby in the summer 🌞 ⛱️.
Nous sommes situés dans une très belle région, face aux Pyrénées. Visitez les marchés locaux, les lacs, la campagne gersoise.
La station de bus la plus proche est à 15 mins en voiture, la ligne vient de Toulouse.
Le lac est à une bonne heure de marche ou 5 mins en voiture.
Vous pouvez bien sûr vous joindre à nous pour aller au marché, rencontrer nos amis, visiter d’autres fermes …
Et on pourra aller se baigner dans le lac tout près en été 🌞 ⛱️. -

It is very cool that you understand things so quick and you can work on yourself, milking, fixing the fence, building stairs etc.
