Description
Welcome to the 2025 season! First, we must say that this is not a paid position. We are unable to provide letters of employment to help applicants gain access to Canada.
Welcome to our family’s regenerative private homestead! We’re Dale and Chelsea, living with our daughter in the beautiful farming community of Armstrong, BC. Using holistic methods, we tend to a large vegetable garden, hay fields, a few sheep, ducks, a horse–and a few friendly pets.
We grow produce and meat for our own family's consumption.
Our favourite part of the property is our walipini-style greenhouse, where we grow year-round (even in freezing winters!). A bit about our area: Armstrong is a charming small town full of small businesses, cafes and shops, and close to picturesque lakes and mountains, hikes, camping, boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and plenty of other activities for nature lovers! The Okanagan region is famous for its vineyards, fruit farms and gorgeous lakes. We’d love to welcome you.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We love getting to know people over shared meals. Our small town is a very vibrant
community with plenty of local and nearby markets, festivals, fairs, and community events to meet people. Nature is a huge part of the small-town Canadian experience, and we are close to lots of lakes, rivers, hiking and biking trails! Our region of the Okanagan also has wineries, cideries, and plenty of fruit farms to explore.
With Dale’s horticulture career and Chelsea’s hobby farm experience, we can offer many learning opportunities in holistic gardening. We love to learn, too, so if you have expertise in permaculture, biodynamic gardening, regenerative farming, or anything else, we’d love to share ideas!Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
