We would love help with jobs around our private house and farmyard including gardening, home maintenance, pets etc.

We can offer food and accommodation in return!

We are conveniently located near the airport, as well as a a 25min drive from Hobart. Our farm comprises 650 acres of mixed bushland and pasture. We have 2 big kids, Hamish and Summer, as well as two border collies and a chihuahua, 2 horses and chickens. Richmond is a busy little historical village 5 mins away. We love farming, gardening, animals and living in such a beautiful part of the world!

Become a part of our family and share our passion for looking after this beautiful patch of land. We use regenerative practices, caring for our soil and enriching biodiversity as a priority. Our children are 5th generation family to live here and the house and barn were built in the 1830s. Lots of history and stories to share!
Ben is a geologist and has rich background in rocks and farming. Hana runs the farm and accommodation. We love sharing this beautiful farm with visitors and hope to provide an wonderful experience for anyone who wishes to workaway here.
We hope to gain more cultural knowledge, broaden our childrens perspective and learn new skills by hosting people from different cultures.

    Accommodation

We have a little building next to our house that has a small loft sleeping area with a queen mattress and bedding. Downstairs is an area for sitting and clothes storage. It also has a bar fridge and a kettle.
We want our visitors to feel like they are part of our family and will cook/provide all meals. If visitors would like to cook they are also more than welcome (:

  • What else ...

    What else ...

    Things to do:
Explore our farm. We are uniquely located 25min from Hobart and our property of 650 acres is covered in bushland and rolling hills.
Explore Richmond village. Beautiful old buildings, lots of cool little shops and some great cafes.
The Coal Valley is full of vineyards so if you like wine you can book a bus tour for tastings.
Bonorong Wildlife park is a 15 min drive away and is a refuge for native animals. A great way to see them up close, including the Tasmanian devil.
Bus to Hobart - Kunyani bushwalking, MONA experience, so many amazing restaurants featuring local produce (Tassie is renowned for it's produce).
Mt Field National Park is stunning. We are always looking for a reason to visit so happy to drive there on the weekend.
