Description
Hello and welcome 🌿
My name is Katherine, I live in Australia, and I am a proud Aboriginal woman and single mother of three. Our home is warm, welcoming, and family-oriented, and we enjoy opening our doors to Workawayers who would like to experience life in our part of the world.
As a host, I can offer not just a place to stay, but also the opportunity to connect with Aboriginal culture and ways of living. I enjoy sharing cultural knowledge, stories, and experiences that give visitors a deeper understanding of Country and community. This might include learning about bush foods, traditional perspectives on caring for land, or simply sitting together to yarn and share stories.
Day-to-day, help around the house, with the kids, or in the garden is always appreciated. In return, you’ll find a safe and supportive environment, with plenty of chances to be part of family life as well as to explore the surrounding area.
We value respect, openness, and cultural exchange, and we love welcoming people who bring curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to contribute.
If you’re interested in experiencing authentic Aboriginal culture, family life, and the beauty of Australia while lending a hand, we’d love to hear from you.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
What I’m Looking For
As a single mum, I really value support from Workawayers who are caring, reliable, and flexible. Some of the ways you might help include:
• Childcare support – helping to care for my children, playing with them, keeping them engaged, or giving me an extra hand during busy times.
• Household tasks – assisting with cooking, tidying, cleaning, laundry, and keeping the home running smoothly.
• Travelling support – occasionally travelling with us, helping with the kids on trips or outings, and being part of our family adventures.
• Gardening & general help – giving a hand with light gardening, organising, or small household projects.
What You’ll Gain
In return, you’ll be welcomed as part of our family. You’ll have the chance to experience everyday Australian family life, while also being invited to learn more about Aboriginal culture and connection to Country. We value open-minded, respectful, and kind people who enjoy children, family life, and cultural exchange.
If you’re interested in supporting a single mum, being part of a family, and experiencing authentic Aboriginal culture, we’d love to hear from you.Languages
