    Description

We are a small non-profit organization based in a rural village located near the center of Germany. Together with fellow residents, we aim to revitalize the village center and rebuild a strong sense of community. Our contribution to this process includes organizing activities in public spaces and renovating historic buildings to create spaces for encounters, cultural practices, education, and the arts.

In the future, we plan to host artist residencies, allowing us to welcome international fellow artists to our village.

The driving force behind the organization are Delia and Verena—both experienced artists and art educators with a passion for the arts, culture, networking, sharing, and meeting new people. Joining us is Yoda, a kind-hearted pug who loves a cuddle or two.

The three of us live just two minutes apart, in the former village pub and the former village school. Between these buildings, we have saved a tiny old house and a small barn from decay. These will be transformed into a museum showcasing the village’s rich pottery history, as well as accommodations for visiting artists.

However, there is still a long way to go—which is why we are looking for people to help with remodeling, planning, organizing and documenting, to help bring this vision to life. There are many ways how you can engage in this projekt. There is also maintenance tasks and in the help in the kitchen appreciated, to provide meals for those helping with the construction tasks.

What we love about this place is its beautiful countryside setting and its sense of familiarity. The village has around 250 residents who are both open-minded and rooted in tradition. The location offers plenty of nature, peace, and quiet—perfect for anyone looking to slow down and unwind.

Despite its rural charm, the area is well-connected. There are swimming pools, shops, attractions, and museums nearby. Just a few kilometers away, you’ll find access to an ICE train station on the route connecting Hessen’s major cities, Frankfurt and Kassel, both of which offer a wide range of cultural activities and sights. The A49 and A7 motorways are also within reasonable distance, making travel by car easy.

Additionally, there are many small historic towns nearby that are well worth a visit

At the moment, we are actively looking for enthusiastic, hands-on individuals who are eager to be part of something meaningful. We're in the process of rethinking and visualizing the building‘s future. In the process of remodeling we get help from people of the local network which need to be taken care of when on site. Whether you have experience in organiziation and cooking, enjoy working with your hands, or simply want to contribute to a creative and sustainable community project—we’d love your help!

    What We Offer:
Guidance & Support – You won’t be on your own. We’ll provide clear instructions, work alongside you, and ensure you feel confident and included. We can also teach you new skills when it comes to remodeling and project management community building via social media.
A Welcoming Community – Connect with like-minded people, make new friends, and become part of a growing network that values culture, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Shared Cooking & Meals – We love gathering around the table. Volunteers are invited to participate in our mutual cooking events—it's a great way to unwind, bond, and share stories.
Studio Space for Artistic Practice – For artists and creatives, we offer access to studio space so you can continue or even begin your art practice while you're here.
Inspiration in Nature – Our village is nestled in a peaceful and beautiful rural landscape—ideal for slowing down, reflecting, and reconnecting with nature and yourself.
Whether you're looking to take a break from city life, learn something new, or engage in a meaningful cultural project, your time and energy will directly contribute to shaping a vibrant and inclusive space for art, education, and community.

Nearby, you’ll find swimming pools, shops, museums, and charming historic towns. We’re well-connected too: just a few kilometers away is an ICE train station linking Frankfurt and Kassel, and we’re close to the A49 and A7 motorways.

As the buildings are old and have a life of their own, they are not suitable for wheelchair access and people with walking issues. We also would prefer non-smokers to join us, as the buildings are smoke-free areas. However, feel free to smoke in the yard and garden.
