    Description

    My name is Machatarn. I’m a mum and stepmum to four wonderful adult children who have all flown the nest, and a proud Gram to two beautiful grandchildren. I’m looking for someone energetic, motivated, capable, and fun who enjoys gardening, weeding, and cleaning—and who would love to experience life in a truly stunning part of the world.
    We live in a quiet, leafy cul-de-sac in the beautiful beachside suburb of Ocean Shores, in the Byron Shire, Northern NSW. We’re just 5 minutes from Brunswick Heads, 15 minutes from Mullumbimby, and 20 minutes from Byron Bay.
    Our peaceful, secluded beach is only 2 kilometres away and is perfect for swimming, surfing, fishing, relaxing in the sun, long walks, invigorating runs, or watching the whales during their biannual migration (usually from June to September).
    We’d love to welcome you into our home, show you around this beautiful area, and introduce you to our relaxed way of life in this gorgeous corner of the world.

    We live in a lovely, quiet cul de sac in a leafy beach side suburb called Ocean Shores, in the Byron Shire, Northern NSW.

    Our beautiful, quiet, secluded beach is only 2 kilometres away and is the perfect spot to lay in the sun, swim, surf, fish, take a long relaxing walk, an invigorating run or watch the whales play, when they're moving through on their bi annual migration, which is usually from around June to September in Byron Shire.

    We’d love to welcome you to our home and show you around our beautiful area and introduce you to our way of living here in our gorgeous corner of the world.

    Help

    These are the jobs that I have for you to do:

    * Garden maintenance, planting and weeding.
    * Some house cleaning duties. Ie, verandah, windows, etc...
    * A few painting jobs
    * Some household organising
    * If you like to cook, we can include that in your hours.

    I'd be around most of the time but would also need you to work independently sometimes too, as I run a business from home which requires my attention.

    I prefer the work to be carried out on week days rather than weekends. This frees up your weekend to enjoy our beautiful area here.
    The length of your stay would depend on your skills and how we all fit together.
    Two weeks would be ideal.

    Free Wi-Fi, Stan and free to air tv are available for your enjoyment.

    I would request that you keep the shared areas clean and tidy at all times and that noise be kept to a minimum.
    This is not a party house, but shared social times together would be welcome.

    I’m open to hosting up to two people and can be flexible with arrangements if you’re a couple.
    You’ll have a clean, comfortable private room with a queen bed, plenty of space for clothes and luggage, a fan for summer, and a heater for winter.
    Our home is warm and welcoming, with a cosy wood fire in the living room for chilly nights and AC and fans for our hot summers.
    There are also several spaces for privacy and relaxation, including a lovely front courtyard surrounded by trees and lush gardens—perfect for unwinding or enjoying meals outdoors.

    Meals
    You would be responsible for your own food and meals. I can take you shopping if you don't have a car.

    If you’d like to cook, then please don’t let me stop you.
    We’re always open to tasting different foods from around the world and learning new recipes.
    We can exchange favourites and share meals if you would like to!
    We have a beautiful, spacious, new kitchen that's a joy to cook in.
