    Description

We are a gay couple living in Pramaggiore (VE) vineyard countryside. Patrick (39) and I (Stefano 62) have a small property that we handle according to the Permaculture principles. We built a straw bales house with clay and lime plaster.
I teach Permaculture design, food foresting, organic farming, straw bale building, clay and lime plastering and floors.
I love cooking and I will be the one who prepare meals daily.
Patrick is an Archaeologist works as librarian, he use to teach computer technology and Paleontology for children at the local museum.
We have chickens, two geese, five cats.
This year we have not made the vegetable garden because we are busy with other task. We need a lot of help for the external part of the property, but inside as well.
Unfortunately, due to technical problems with the Municipality, the volunteers cannot place their residence with us and therefore we must exclude those who want to undertake the process to obtain Italian citizenship. Thanks for understanding.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Being that we are quite busy with our jobs, we can not spend a lot of time with volunteers: usually Stefano prepares food and eats with volunteers; if requested can spend some time sharing his knowledge on bio-architecture techniques, organic farming and Permaculture. He is quite generous about sharing information on practical things.

  • Help

    Help

Outside we need help in trimming the embankment, mowing garden and food forest, collecting wood.
Inside the house could be necessary to make some clay plastering or finishing, some DIY in our building projects and general maintenance. Being my job, I teach the volunteers how to do the various tasks that need to be done.
In exchange we offer good Italian food, accommodation in our eco-house. We are predisposed to the teaching of bio-architecture techniques, organic farming and Permaculture; we are quite generous about sharing information and knowledge about practical things.
We need hard working volunteers !

In the volunteers room 2 or 4 beds. Couples can be accommodated in the double room, if you ask for it.

It is possible to camp on site as well.

    What else ...

If we don't run courses at home, we work during from Monday to Friday; Saturday and Sunday are free. We therefore ask volunteers to arrive on Monday and leave either on the last Friday evening or Sunday evening. If we need help for the courses we will ask volunteers to move the free days during the week.
We live in the vineyard area about 2km far from the bus stop. In about one hour you can reach Venice, Treviso or Trieste. Three beautiful towns. If we have spare time we can go together and see some historical site nearby.
Unfortunately, due to technical problems with the Municipality, the volunteers cannot place their residence with us and therefore we must exclude those who want to undertake the process to obtain Italian citizenship. Thanks for understanding.
