Description
We live off grid on 30 acres of wetlands on with wombats and waterbirds and our beautiful Golden Irish, Grania. We grow food organically and are planting more orchards all the time. We are inspired by syntropic principles of growing water, and are devoted to the soil. We have frontage on the little Cattai Creek, there is year-round swimming, and lots to explore by canoe. We are also envisioning and implementing a poet's garden. There are many aspects to this garden, but it is begun. It is both a mytho-poetic dream and a reality. It will hold poetry readings and it will include many poets and their work, in a garden.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
There is lots of lovely walking around this valley and Australian wildlife. The wetland birds, eagles etc are amazing. The ecosystem of the wetlands is always changing, and there is much to observe and enjoy in nature here. We are only just over an hour into the CBD of Sydney should you wish to go. We enjoy other cultures and learning from them and cooking together, trying new foods.
Help
We need help with all stages of the food, flower and a poets garden. This includes making new gardens, edges and mulching, watering and making creative paths through the garden spaces. If you write or appreciate poetry this will be especially interesting to blend both into garden design. We are planning to build an outdoor shower ( fire heated) and a glamping site soon and dreaming up other stuff! We have a hammock for day dreaming and birdwatching or reading!

What else ...
Swimming, walking and canoeing are always available here. Public transport is relatively close to the city of Sydney and up into the Blue Mountains which are not far away. The Hawkesbury region of Sydney is on our doorstep with much First Nations significance and sites. .
