  Description

  We are Narmin (teacher, theater director) and László (forester). Our property is located on a hill in the middle of the wooded Dordogne. It is a former farmhouse that is over 200 years old, with a large meadow and a wooded property. It is surrounded by a few houses and the nearest shops are about 8 km away. Before we moved here, we lived in Berlin. Our dog Nala has been with us since the end of July 2020 and Truco since December 2023. We cook mainly vegetarian, meat is only available once a week (also for helpers). Alcohol is not part of the menu. Excessive alcohol consumption is not allowed. We are happy to prepare meals together.
  
  
  Wir sind Narmin (Lehrerin, Theaterspielleiterin) und László (Forstwirt). Unser Anwesen liegt auf einem Hügel mitten in der waldreichen Dordogne. Es ist ein ehemaliges Bauernhaus, das über 200 Jahre alt ist, mit einer großen Wiese und einem bewaldeten Grundstück. Es ist von wenigen Häusern umgeben und die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ca. 8 km entfernt. Bevor wir hierher gezogen sind, haben wir in Berlin gelebt. Unsere Hündin Nala ist seit Ende Juli 2020 dabei und Truco seit Dezember 2023. Wir kochen hauptsächlich vegetarisch, Fleisch gibt es nur einmal pro Woche (auch für Helfer). Alkohol ist nicht Teil des Speiseplans. Übermäßiger Alkoholkonsum ist nicht erlaubt. Gerne bereiten wir die Mahlzeiten gemeinsam zu.

  Help

  We do most of the tasks ourselves. Next we want to build a carport and a shed,… We need help with lots of small jobs, like carpentry. Helping hands are always needed in the garden. Our dogs also look forward to you taking them for a walk. We need your help 5 days a week, 5 hours of work each day. We offer free accommodation and 3 meals a day.
  
  Den größten Teil der Arbeit erledigen wir selbst. Als nächstes wollen wir einen Carport und einen Schuppen bauen,…. Wir benötigen Hilfe bei vielen kleinen Arbeiten, wie z.B. Schreinerarbeiten. Im Garten sind auch immer helfende Hände gefragt. Unsere Hunde freuen sich auch darauf wenn Sie mit ihnen spazieren gehen.
  Wir brauchen Ihre Hilfe an 5 Tagen in der Woche mit jeweils 5 Stunden Arbeit. Wir bieten kostenlose Unterkunft und 3 Mahlzeiten pro Tag an.

  Accommodation

  The house has a holiday room with bathroom. The property also has space for a motorhome or for camping. In high season (July/August) the room is not available. During this time our self-converted motorhome is available for sleeping.
  
  
  Das Haus verfügt über ein Ferienzimmer mit Bad. Das Anwesen bietet auch Platz für ein Wohnmobil oder zum Campen. In der Hochsaison (Juli/August) steht das Zimmer nicht zur Verfügung. In dieser Zeit steht unser selbstausgebautes Wohnmobil zum Schlafen zur Verfügung.

  What else ...

  Our house is located in the southwest of France between Bordeaux and the Massif Central. The popular holiday region impresses with its scenic beauty, well-preserved architectural sights and is home to numerous archaeological sites of world class. The 147 prehistoric sites and 25 decorated caves of the Vézère Valley have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. In addition to the Lascaux Grotto with its Neolithic cave paintings, the Stone Age finds of Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons are also attractive. One of the world's most important finds from the Stone Age was discovered in 1896 in our municipality with the burial site of the Neanderthals near La Ferrassie. The numerous castles and palaces are worth seeing, some rivers can be explored by canoe and well-preserved old houses characterize the landscape. The landscape of the Périgord is also known for its black winter truffles, which are among the most expensive in the world.
