My name is Eugenia. I am an English language teacher and entrepreneur. I'm in the process of developing a private language center with four more teachers. The school is in Huixcolotla, Puebla. We've been running this language center for 4 years. The center offers English language courses for kids, teenagers, and adults. We have small groups, most of our students come from public schools from Huixcolotla. It is very important for us to keep the school running since it is the only opportunity to learn English many students have, we are the only language school in town. We would like to give our students the opportunity to learn about other cultures and practice English with native speakers or non-native speakers of English who have a high intermediate-advanced level.

This is an option for people who wish to live and experience real Mexico. We are located in a semi-rural town in which you would be able to know traditions, celebrations and try real Mexican food. Huixcolotla is known because "Papel Picado" is made here, we can take you to learn how these handicrafts are made. We are surrounded by many other rural towns, in which you can see convents, churches, natural resources, and even ruins of pyramids. We are also close to the city of Puebla (one hour), 90 minutes far from the city of Tlaxcala and three hours far from Mexico City. All of them beautiful and interesting to see. Volunteering with us will give you the opportunity to know rural, semi-rural and urban areas in central Mexico.
My coworkers and I have been abroad ourselves and enjoy meeting people. We love visiting places and will happily take you around when time permits. You will also have the opportunity to learn or practice Spanish with us and our students.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young people and likes teaching. PREFERABLY ESL/EFL TEACHERS or travelers with experience in English teaching. We need volunteers who wish to stay from November to mid-December.
Volunteers will be required to assist Mexican teachers in their lessons or to take part in the lesson and teach any ability they feel passionate about, for example, cooking, music, technology, yoga, painting, drawing, math, etc.

Accommodation includes a little apartment with basic facilities: a bathroom, a little kitchen, and a backyard. There is hot water and a stove to cook. You can find plenty of grocery stores around the neighborhood and a huge market ten minutes away from the apartment where you can get fresh farmers' products every day. We will provide bedclothes and towels. We offer breakfast and lunch and we will be happy to take volunteers out for lunch when possible. Volunteers may be invited to come over students' homes special celebrations meals.
The school is located in a three-story building right in the main square.
Work and home are very close, the teachers' apartment is only two blocks far from the school. It takes 3 minutes to walk from the apartment to the school.
During working days, volunteers can visit nearby towns in the morning and come back to help in the afternoon-evening. When having two or three days off volunteers would be able to visit cities like Mexico, Puebla, Tlaxcala, or Veracruz. There is lots of cheap public transport available, then it is very easy to move around.
