Description
Hello!
Our farm is conveniently located just 45 minutes from Oslo and 20 minutes from Gardermoen. We welcome both individuals and pairs who can help us transform our farm into an attractive destination.
Nestled in beautiful surroundings by the river Vorma, our farm practices traditional farming, forestry, and green tourism. Our cultural house—a lovingly restored barn—hosts various events such as Christmas markets, weddings, yoga retreats, and more. In addition, we have a few friendly animals that need care, including alpacas, Shetland ponies, mini-pigs, and hens.
We also offer a selection of unique tourist accommodations, including three mirrored glass cabins, two domes, and a shepherd's hut. You’ll have the opportunity to work both on the farm and with Erle and Jeremy, should you choose. Most of the tasks take place outdoors, whether it’s winter or summer. We have regular employees who handle cleaning and guest services. For each Workawayer invited to our place who has a D-number (which is required to work in Norway), we offer payment for each hour worked (175 NOK per hour) . We also provide accommodation here on the farm, and there is a cozy private room available in the main house upstairs.
Please note: we can only host EU and EEA citizens, or non-EEA citizens who already live in Norway with a residence permit that allows them to do work.
Since we have many projects beyond the farm, we won’t always be present. Therefore, we’re looking for resourceful, proactive and handy individuals (or couples, ideally a guy and a girl) who can commit to longer stays - several months, if it works out. You should be comfortable spending time independently and exploring the local area. If you wish to experience more than rural life, Oslo is only an hour away by bus or train, or you might consider renting a car for your stay. And for fishing enthusiasts, Huser is truly an Eldorado.

Accommodation
The accommodation is upstairs in the main house. You will have your own room and there is a shared kitchen and bathroom. Most of the time there are not more than 3 workawayers living upstairs so there is enough privacy.

I highly recommend you this, whether it is for the kindness of Lise, Jeremy and Erle or the beauty of the place.
We had been engaged to prepare the Christmas market.
What a wonderful task was waiting for us!
