Description
Update: We have an employee leaving so we are currently looking for a couple with housekeeping experience to take responsibility for the rental units at the farm (6 unique cabins and 2 apartments). Some of the tasks include food preparation, cleaning, laundry, stock replenishment and helping out with events. We can offer a monthly salary, housing at the farm and the option of having food included. Start is asap.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our farm is close to Oslo (45 min) and Gardemoen (20 min). If you are two people who want to help us make the farm an interesting place to visit, we will give you free accommodation, food, and bikes to get around. If you are comfortable coming by yourself then that's also fine.
Our farm is situated in beautiful surroundings close to the river Vorma. We do traditional farming, foresting, and also green tourism. We have a cultural house (restored barn) where we organize events (like a Christmas market, weddings, etc.). We have a few pets on the farm that need food and attention: a cat, alpacas, Shetland ponies, mini-pigs (in the summer), and hens.
We also have three beautiful mirrored glass cabins, 2 domes, and a shepherd's hut that we rent out to tourists. You will be given the possibility to help both on the farm and with Erle and Jeremy if you like. Either way, most of the tasks are outside (in the winter and summer). We do have local paid employees that take care of the paid jobs (cleaning and taking care of guests) but there will be a payment to cover food expenses and if applicable for extra work/projects that are related to the business. Workawayers will also get free accommodation (you will have your own room upstairs in the main house).
We have a lot to do outside the farm so we won't always be there. We prefer to receive handy and proactive people (friends/couple/guy and girl preferably) who could stay for longer periods (several months if it works out). You will need to like to be alone and experience the neighbourhood on your own. If you love to see more than the countryside, Oslo is just 1 hour away by bus/train, or maybe you want to hire a car for the period. If you love to fish you will find Huser an Eldorado.Types of help and learning opportunities

We hope we can go back one day to meet all the lovely people we met and our super cute alpaca friends! :)
I highly recommend you this, whether it is for the kindness of Lise, Jeremy and Erle or the beauty of the place.
We had been engaged to prepare the Christmas market.
What a wonderful task was waiting for us!
We cut trees, built a fence, decorated the old barn, arranged the tables and the lights, painted signs … In this way, we got to know the „people from Huser“: Lise, Jeremy and Erle, and of course Ronalda, who always takes care of… read more
