    Description

We live in Waikino, an area rich in mining history and surrounded with outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and exploring historic sites. We are 20 mins from the beach and 2 minutes from the hauraki cycle trail and one of the countries most impressive waterfalls. We have one son, who is nearly 3, 2 border collie dogs who love people, 2 lambs, 2 cows and a flock of chickens. We also have beehives. We've just built our place on a small lifestyle block, which was a grazing paddock, and now has thousands of native trees growing that we planted over the last few years, with more to do! We are also establishing an orchard and vege garden.

We're a family of 3, that live in a close community and have travelled ourselves for many years before buying this property. We live in an amazing area with lots to explore. We are creating a sustainable lifestyle block by growing our own vegetables, chickens for eggs, animals for the freezer. The area where we live in is rich with New Zealand history, an old tram line ran right through our property. We have interest in the history of our area and are constantly exploring the area learning more about the mining history, including finding historic pieces buried in our section.

We've just moved a cabin onto our section, which would be your private accommodation. We'd love some help in planting around the cabin and getting the landscaping done. We also have a lot of tasks around the section such as removing invasive species from around our natives, preparing and planting the vegetable garden. Feeding the lambs. General gardening. Cleaning inside and outside of the house. Cooking meals is another option.
We also have a deck to build and some beekeeping gear to clean, and if your interested some beekeeping is an option as well.
We are fairly flexible! Just need some extra help around the house!
