    Description

We are a family group of 4, of them, 2 are a mixed couple, Chilean-Swedish that we run for 20 years our hostel & agency in Pto Varas.
Inspired by our own trips as backpackers, our life in Europe we started our hostel thinking basically about staying in a cosmopolitan environment, and contact with travelers from everywhere, helping them find the places and activities that most interest them in a clear and transparent way .

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We consider the platform that comes and supports a family-friendly hostel like ours to be an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange for the volunteer, mainly because it is made up of a multicultural team, where you can interact every day, with members of the staff, from Chili. , Peru, Sweden, and maybe another volunteer from Chile or another country at the same time. And this is independent of the multiculturalism of the same traveling clients from all over the globe.

Also experience to be in a typical German built house from 1930th made out of chilean rainforest wood in the old "patrimonial" part of the city.

Thanks to our varied contact with local tour operators, we will eventually be able to get free space on popular tours or at more advantageous rates for the volunteer and on his days off. (mainly for volunteers who sign up for at least 2 or more months of support)
We will of course include the pick up from/transfer to the airport for those volunteers arriving/departing by flight.

  • Help

    Help

In the hostel all the local staff members are 4
    2 receptionists and 2 maids.
We the owners Malin (from Sweden) and Mauro (Chilean). As well as 2 other women, one Chilean and one Peruvian, we do everything that is required for the good and efficient management of a small hostel, for this reason the volunteers will interact daily with the members of the plant staff and will help from the most domestic tasks , such as changing beds, cleaning, laundry service and also support at reception, in the Check in/Out process of our guests, interacting daily and actively with them.
In general, supporting everything to work well and having the opportunity to understand, learn and see from the inside how a small family tourism business like this one works in Chile.
