!!Please know that my rating is low from unanswered initial emails while I was in school 2 yrs ago!!

We have a beautiful off-grid farm (solar) on 112 acres in the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains 1 hour west of Jasper National Park.

The farm is constantly diversifying, this spring, we started a small tree and shrub nursery with great success. We planted apple, cherry plum and apricot trees to fill out the orchard. Also expanded the raspberry and blueberry plantation to expand the U-Pick for next year. The raspberry U-pick has been an awesome success bringing friends and families from 3 surrounding communities.

The farms represents self sustainability in a nature based environment. Over the last 10 yrs we have had intense market gardens and started farmers markets in 2 communities and at its height, shipped produce 4hrs east to a major city for a CSA box program. Things have slowed down to a maintenance phase to catch up.
We have 3 resident horses in the summer, 22 in the winter and 40-50 head of cattle pasturing. We have a golden Retriever, Rose, the ultimate lover and 2 male cats, Lucious and Percy. All friendly and waiting for you to pet them. Bears and deer are constantly making appearances and we all have a healthy respect for each other. Freedom is abundant.

Summer accommodation is an addition on the house, or a camper trailer.
Only outhouse toilets on the farm with hot water in the main house. Wifi is available in the addition but intermittent. Cell service is the same. The main house is limited to bathing and eating. Internet use is permitted on a very limited basis in the main house.

Our beautiful farm is open to networking and building community with like minded people who like to work as hard as they play and believe in a nature based lifestyle.

Mountain biking in the town of Valemount, for those with a vehicle, is 20 mins away. 2 creeks to cool down, Mnt. Robson Prov. Park 15 mins away. Hiking available within minutes from the farm. Rafting just down the road and Jasper National Park is 1 hr away.

My 8 yr old daughter and I, are looking for manual labour help in the orchard, digging out drip lines and staking trees, planting a few shrubs, weeding of the new raspberry/blueberry plantation, pounding of posts, irrigation and/or taking part in cooking meals and house sitting. Carpentry skills is a bonus to be remunerated for. Same goes for any mechanics.

20mins from Valemount BC. (The closest town of 1000 people)
1 hour from Jasper National Park AB.
15mins from Mnt Robson Provincial Park.
Our property backs up to the mountains offering opportunities for hiking and biking and playing in creeks. The Fraser river across the valley lends to all sorts of river sports.
Looking for independent, motivated, self propelled individuals who LOVE nature and all it has to offer. Not those that want to stay inside on the internet.
