Description
A family of five living in an old farm house in East Cork Ireland. We offer a mobile and caravan on site in the yard and paid hours to help with the farm landscape work , woods and gardens.
Adjacent to Ballycotton Fishing village and 5km from Ballymaloe House Hotel and Cookery School beside Shanagarry. Beautiful rural setting with Cloyne village a walking distance of 2km away. Midleton town 8km away is closest hub with famous whiskey distillery, farmers market and train links to Cork City and all it's culture and urban amenities.
Cork city is 15 mins from Midelton by train, Airport is 30 mins drive away. The renovation project was done in a slow self build conservation manners.
As per the guidelines for work aways, we offer €15/20 an hour for time worked based on the project.
The farmhouse is over two hundred years old and is set on 13 acres of woodland, we have planted a biodiversity birdseed cover in the northern flower field and have a large hay field in the south filed facing a lower wetland meadows.
On site is a wood cabin with electricity and a woodburning stove, a sauna, a 2 bed mobile home with water and gas cooking facilities, a caravan and various working sheds and shipping containers.
We have plans and need help to make a walking route through the woods and already have a lovely boundary trails around the property.

We have another stone building we will begin to renovate for rentals in 2028 and plan to build a natural swimming pool beside the sauna in the inner garden.
The house has streams, ditches and rivers running all through the woods fields and property. An edible salad watercress grows in the lower marshy field.
It's a magical setting on 13 acres, we would love for anyone with like minded ethos to come share our journey.
