I’m Viola, family and friends call me V. I was born in city of Santa Claus (Rovaniemi, Finland) in 1998 and currently I live in Helsinki with my two dogs. I have a degree in International Business and work as a self-employed brand strategist. I like cheese, riding horses, analysing art markets and watching all Harry Potters four times a year. Every year.
I find myself reasonably funny, easy-going, emotionally (and generally) intelligent, reliable and thoughtful. My life mostly consists of working from home, walking my dogs, riding horses, painting, researching fine art market, photographing, and cooking daily. I also love DIY projects and vintage, especially furniture flips! These are things that I would like to do during my travels, especially have some animal companions at my next destination. They play a huge part in my life, especially horses are really close to my heart. I'm a confident rider and able to help with unbroken and green horses too if needed (my profile has a review from my dear previous horse host 🐴). I also love hiking, outdoors and to live quite healthy. I had some major health issues in my early 20s after a life-threatening accident and went through over 4 years of rehabilitation afterwards, so I really cherish wellbeing and just try to enjoy the simple things in life. Today I'm doing excellent so no worries with that!
When it comes to Workawaying, I'm looking for genuine conversations, empathy, well-cared animals, open atmosphere and trying new cuisines. I would say I'm a very easy person to host - I eat (and also cook) anything, know how to help myself, do just fine without 24/7 company and still remain very happy. I adapt easily to new and changing situations, and don't stress too much about anything. What do I expect from you? Ideally, I hope you're funny. Friendly and open. I would love to connect with people to make even life-long connections. Extra sister, brother, mother or father? Visiting you again, you visiting me in Helsinki, or my lovely family in Rovaniemi? That would be the grand prize 🍀
A bit about my work ethics. I enjoy cognitive and physical tasks, very used to working at the stables and exercising a lot. My work ethics are very Finnish - what I promise, that I'll do. On time. Properly. Don't have to ask twice. Backstory: my dad used to work for the military (house chores were most definitely done on time). But no worries, outside of work, I most definitely don't take life too seriously. Nor does my dad.
Did something click? Great, I'd love to hear what you have on your mind. Basically I'm able to relocate myself anytime I like, anywhere I like. Let's have a chat!
Cheers,
Viola 🤠

More details about your skills
I'm an entrepreneur in strategic brand building, consisting of designing comprehensive business concepts, and then executing them - usually web design, graphic design, copywriting, photography and cinematography, illustrations, social media, content creation... You name it. I used to be a professional photographer for years but shifted more towards brand building eventually. Additionally, I have work experience in sales, horse trekking business, petting zoo, tourism, and horse training in Finland and abroad.
I absolutely love to cook, always eager to learn about new cuisines and offering a hand in the kitchen. My sister is vegan so able to cook great vegan or vegetarian food too. I also like to keep my surroundings clean and enjoy organising the house etc. DIY projects and just doing with my hands. Very confident driver, also bigger vehicles, no issue with manual gear. My artistic skills are also decent if you happen to need a hand with anything creative, but I can also just paint. Like walls. And leave the art out of it 🎨
I enjoy being around children and have been working with them quite a bit (animal-related camps and courses especially). However, I would prefer a location that would not involve taking care of very small children. Anything above 4-yo makes me feel a lot more comfortable when it comes to sharing responsibility of a little human 🌱

What else ...
I would really appreciate if the future host would have a WiFi connection at their location, as I would need to manage my clients every now and then. If there's none but otherwise it's a perfect match, shorter stays especially are no issue 😊
