Description
Hoi! I’m Cris and I’m trying to develop a small (non commercial) eco-organic farm in the beautiful mountains of Trás-os-Montes in the north of Portugal, where friends can come to get a rest from stress. Actively working with permaculture and ecological restauration, I’m looking mainly for couples that like to work in direct contact with the earth and trees, and are handy with helping out in restauring the farm and the house.

Here we can develop a lot on communication skills (in Portuguese, English, French, Dutch, Spanish and Brazilian inside the farm, maybe others outside…), enjoy different kinds of music (feel free to bring instruments), enjoy bird and other nature watching, evt. swim, and pet and play (train) with my little clever dog and two cunning cats if you like.

In the field, you would be : Looking for and picking different kinds of seeds, planting, cutting, cleaning and maintaining orchards, making diy and evt. picking fruits - want to experience olive picking with the locals?
In the house there is a lot of work still, from hanging lamps to fixing and painting doors and balconies, bikes and tools…

I have a 1 double bed or a 2 single beds room ready for you, with (semi) private bathroom.
With food, there is a lot of flexibility. You can cook by yourself or join me in meals. I provide the goods.
What else ...
Bringing a car would be a plus, cause this region is very poor on transportation!! We can experience and visit a lot of arqueológical/historical/natural interesting places. We are nearby two nature parks and the medicinal water route if you want a taste of it!

Although the arriving and the departure was a little chaotic and stressfull as my car was not able to enter her terrain thowing the caravan. The entrance is quite small and steep. So Cristina needed to call one of her cousins to come and enter the caravan with a tractor.
