Description
Hi, my name is Danyal. Life has put at my disposal a large piece of land by the beach, with several houses on it that I want to turn into a communal get away with emphasis on permaculture and spiritual development.
I live alone on the land but get help from friends who come and stay with me.
The project is huge and there is lots to do.
The place is absolutely gorgeous and has an incomparable potential.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Mauritius is an amazingly culturally diverse country, with Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Chinese living together in peace. As my house lies not far from an extremely typical Mauritian village, there are therefore lots to learn from the cultural immersion and opportunities to create community projects.
On top of that I am a certified yoga and qi gong teacher with several years of practice.
I will therefore introduce you to those practices, as well as my humble understanding of life so far as well as indian spirituality.
I love to share but especially to learn from you, what piece of the puzzle of the understand of life it has brought you so far.Help
There are various aspects to what i would need help for, the first is the property itself.
All in all the property requires extensive works, i don't expect everything to be done all at once, but step by step the goal to complete the general renovations will be reached, from there on maintenance works and touch ups is what can be required.
A nice first mission amongst others could be that of renovating the present workers' living area. It is completely suitable for living right now, but as I would like to rent it in the future, we will have to make it look extra nice, artistic, painting skills are a plus ;)
At the same time the whole property needs some work here and there.
There is a fully functional workshop on site, tooled up and ressourceful, to build, repair, create as per the tasks required and why not, to be creative and to push the project further in interesting ways.
A note here is That creatives are most welcome, suggestions as well :)
I also need help with setting up a permaculture garden, so anyone with the skills appropriate to do so is welcome, it is already underway, but the idea is to gradually cultivate the whole property this way, i.e a living, consumable garden.
Also if You happen to have pottery or sound engineering Skills there is definitely something to do... a "macgyver" i.e DIY specialist is A big plus!
And if we get a decently large and ressourceful team, someone with (good :P) cooking skills would be much apreciated.
On an another note there is an interesting prospect for using the work required done by yourselves and especially by local youths here as a way to cultivate, learn, grow from/through that experience, my objective, especially with my background as a yoga teacher is to grow/rise/level up from an experience and help others do the same, take it also as a perhaps an educational journey, i.e if you have particular skill to share with young, motivated and passionate lads from a modest Community, it is a great opportunity.
You will have understood by now that the objective of the project is essentially an educational one and the space is very much geared towards that, as a safe space for spiritual retreat and personal development.
Thus the work on site being a pretext to work on yourself (well this is how I have been using this opportunity of a massive challenge/project as a means to work on myself, so if you so choose to use this opportunity as a means to achieve that too you are most welcome, if not, and you just want to work and stay it's also fine, you are most welcome!
But if you are so enclined that way, that of working on yourself, these are interesting guidelines and the space and work required here are perfect for it :
Through the work required on site, what i would term as Karma Yoga, i.e selflessly doing what is required in the moment, doing it with love and awareness, bhakti yoga, i.e creating something with passion and dedication, jñana yoga learning, about the world, but especially about oneself (learning to know oneself through the various ways we act or perhaps, react to life) (there is also an extensive library) and raja yoga, i.e cultivation practices such as yoga, meditation or essentially whatever keeps you flowing and keeps your head in place and your body healthy.
So if you are in for this game of self enquiry (what life is about, i.e learning who you are) this Is a great opportunity, so jump in!
Either way you are most welcome to merrily join in on the work at hand with a good spirit and a kind heart.
See you!Languages
