    Description

Hola from Costa Rica! 👋🙂🌴 My name is Nick. A love of nature, a healthy lifestyle, and good relationships with good people—that's how I live in Manuel Antonio.
The property includes my small house and a larger house where tourists and travelers stay. These are typical local houses in a typical Tico neighborhood. The environment here feels more like a village than a city, but there are also large houses nearby. A bus stop, cafes, supermarkets, and restaurants are within a couple of minutes' walk. A semi-professional soccer field with free access is practically connected to the property. (Check out this location on Google Maps.)
This place will appeal to nature and sports lovers who aren't looking for city comforts.
The houses are located on the edge of tropical vegetation, near a national park, and are literally surrounded by local flora and fauna. So, around the house, and sometimes even inside, you can see monkeys, sloths, opossums, armadillos, agoutis, anteaters, honey badgers, deer, lizards, parrots, hummingbirds, butterflies, and a host of other native animals, birds, and insects. There's also a chicken (🐔) that would appreciate your attention.
Around the house are banana and coconut palms, bamboo thickets, mango and avocado trees, and other tropical plants. Welcome to the jungle!
‼️ If you are very sensitive, if encountering cockroaches, spiders, or mosquitoes, or if the minimalist, rustic lifestyle, or, for example, garbage collection, would shock you, then it's best not to visit. Also, you shouldn't visit if you smoke or use drugs.

I'm from Russia and would be happy to introduce you to Russian culture and cuisine.
My neighbors are locals living in their typical houses, and once you're here, you'll immediately be immersed in typical Costa Rican life and see how things work here. The people here are friendly and always willing to help you learn Spanish. Furthermore, tourists from all over the world come here, and you'll have the opportunity to interact with them and improve your communication skills.
Also, while here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the local tropical plants and animals, of which there are countless, as the house is located on the edge of a jungle that's part of a national park.

    Help

I currently need help with gardening and plant care. The house has its own small yard with thickets of banana palms and bamboo, along with many other plants, large trees, and a slope where fallen leaves accumulate. The yard requires constant attention.
You can bring plants from the jungle and plant them in flowerpots, create a flowerbed by the window, trim the plants and grass, collect leaves and branches, create a vegetable garden or flowerbed, etc. And if you have any useful ideas of your own on how to improve the garden and the space around the house, that would be absolutely wonderful!
If you have a sense of and understanding of nature, if interacting with the environment brings you pleasure and inspiration, then you are welcome!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You get a private, simple room. And be prepared for minimalist living conditions. This isn't a five-star hotel; it's country-style living where simple amenities are valued. The focus here isn't on everyday comforts, but on connecting with nature. You can spend time in the house, on the property, or in a hammock in the garden, cook in the kitchen, use the shower and toilet, washing machine, refrigerator, and everything else in the house. There's also reliable Wi-Fi.

The ocean is nearby, within walking distance or 5-10 minutes by local bus. The bus stop is 250 meters from the house.
You can go to the beach, go hiking, explore the area or develop your own tourist route for tourists and earn some money. The house also has a slightly battered surfboard, snorkeling gear and other useful things that you can use for free if you are responsible and careful.
You can do any sport and jog on the football field with free entry and it is very close.
Also from me you will receive information and recommendations about possible options for recreation and interesting places around.
