It was our first time in Ireland and we had the opportunity to share it with a very nice family. They gave us the opportunity to stay for 2 weeks and we enjoyed doing the work which was easy to do. … read more glass of wine accompanied by dinner and the different dishes that June and Clare prepared for us. Dogs and cats were always our faithful companions during our tasks. Thanks for everything.

Anna and Spencer were fantastic guests, they happily did any task we ask always with a smile on their face. They were great with all our animals too and settled into our mad house well. We had lots of laughs together over their stay and would happily have them back anytime.

We could not have had a better experience! Clare and June were so easy to communicate with and were fantastic hosts! We feel that we were able to experience a true culture exchange. Here is a little of the experience lived in our first Workaway, we took a lot of time to write this return and it is because we had many things to say and tell about two wonderful people, their family and their pets!
We can say that we were lucky enough to share a month with June and Clare (who passed super fast), in a more than comfortable way,
… read more we never needed anything and they were always very attentive and dedicated to us.
The days passed between laughs, attempts to improve our English (more laughs here), different jobs (which was fun since you learned new things like gardening, cleaning, tidying, etc. and you would never get bored doing the same thing and also, they always took into account our preferences when assigning us tasks), the pets, their daily antics and also their love; good wines and excellent meals. I think that our stay was easy and that says a lot, not all of us can feel comfortable and well in another country and in another house, but I think there was never a barrier between us, June and Clare took care of making us feel part of everything. But the most important thing we want to emphasize is trust. They trusted us without hesitation, it is something that we will never forget and we cannot stop thanking and feeling privileged for it. The family is very fun, we were able to meet many of them and spend time with them, they are all excellent people.
We don't want to go on longer and bore whoever reads it, but the last thing we are going to say is that last month we were very happy, thanks Clare, June, Truffle, Dizzy, Cheesy, Fluffly pants, Tonka and Sponge!!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We miss them already! It was such a delight to host Alex and Daniela, their smiley faces where a joy to see everyday and we are sad to see them go (as are all the animals too!). They always went above and beyond anything we asked of them, they where so respectful of our home and extremely unintrusive. During their stay here they helped weekly with
… read more house chores while also helping to maintain the garden and tending to the vegetables. No task was too small or big and they where very adaptable to new challenges set each week, our garage has never looked so clean and organised they defiantly both have great attention to detail. But most importantly not only did they share a great work ethic they where just a joy to be around, we had lots of laughs together around the diner table and even though Alex’s English is not as storing as Daniels’s his sense of humour and fun came through. We wish them best for their next adventure and if you have the opportunity to host them you shouldn’t have any hesitation, if I could give them 6 stars I would!

My friend and I stayed at June's and Clare's place for about 2 weeks. During that time, I helped with cleaning/general maintenance and gardening. I did lots of weeding and planted some new vegetables, which was a lot of fun. I also helped to rip out the floor of an old caravan. The next workawayers will get the chance to put a new one in :D

Both Clare and June are super kind, open and welcoming. June definitely enjoys a good chat. I feel like she's sharpened my humour like some old knives.
It was lovely to sit under the pergola and have dinner together while exchanging travel stories and life advice. Clare is a remarkable cook, I still dream of her mustard vinnegar dressing. She was also so kind to drive us to the Dublin airport once the workaway ended.

The whole house and the garden is beautiful and harmonious, you feel a super nice energy.
The room and the bathroom were very spacious and comfortable, and the work was varied and not difficult at all.

Our stay was amazing. Imagine a really nice host. Okay, it's not enough. You will be treated in such a lovely way that you will never forget this experience. The work that was required was never too hard.
