    Description

My boyfriend & I moved to Central Portugal in 2017 to follow our dream of building an off grid homestead from scratch, fast forward 5 years and we need some extra helping hands to complete some big projects we are currently working on. We are building a house from stone, we have a few animals to take care of, we grow organic food & have 5 hectares of land to manage & keep clean. We are working our way toward self sustainability & learning as we go, we would love to learn from you & teach you what we know so far.

We live at the bottom of Monsanto, which is considered the most Portuguese village in Portugal, the area is rich in history & we have connections with many people in the area so you can really get a feel for what life is like in this part of Portugal.
Come & discover what it is like to live off grid & see the mountain that is home to dragons before it becomes a popular tourist destination & inevitably loses some of its charm. ( the new Game of Thrones series " House of the Dragon " was filmed here last year )
You can learn how to grow organic food, build a homestead from scratch, stone masonry, tiny house building & we will happily introduce you to our thriving little community here if that is something that interests you too.
We run a small off grid pizza business & host pizza clubs once a week when lots of people come together to eat & drink & enjoy eachothers company, we would be happy to share this with you all too :)

We welcome people of all skill level and ages but our biggest project at the moment is building the tiny house. This house is being built in granite stone so it is heavy duty work, Marley will need somebody to labour him & help with this project.
I work online during the day most days & my duties are to take care of the land management & the animals. While I am working I would need somebody to be self motivated to help with clearing, pruning, planting trees, taking care of the animals & lighter jobs. I will be available to help with this as well.
If you enjoy photography or videography then thats amazing, we would love someone to document a little bit of our lives here too.
