  • Description

    Description

Luc (60+) is a pensioner, last year operated on both knees. He usually does all the gardening and cooking. He used to be a geography teacher.
Karin (50+)is a science teacher who works full time and takes care of the animals. She also did an equicoaching education.
We both love nature and animals and our life on our little farm in the middle of our field.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

They will learn about cooking, growing vegetables ecologically, get to know the typical nature in the environment. They could also learn about how to handle rescue dogs in a gentle way, and how horses are able to act as a mirror in equicoaching.

    Help

There are 3 dogs to walk, a chicken, 4 horses and 3 cats to look after. The stables and the field have to be cleaned, and there is a garden and two ponds to be kept. The horses' fence needs to be renovated and a shelter needs to be built. Of course we assume that everybody helps cleaning the dishes, setting the table, keeping the rooms tidy and clean. (mucky shoes in the garage and inside clean shoes or slippers)

They could have a bedroom and a separate room to watch tv on the first floor.(before 10pm) The bathroom we'll have to be shared and the kitchen as well. In the evenings they could cook the meal together with Luc and we could all have our meal together.

    What else ...

We live in a very nice agricultural and nature reserve area where it is excellent to hike or cycle. You may meet the king fisher, deer, or even some beavers on your trips. On walking distance to our house, you can fish. We live near the border of the Netherlands and Germany. Aachen, Maastricht, Eindhoven, Roermond, Antwerpen and Brussels are all worth a trip. A bit further are Gent, Brugge and Amsterdam. We can drop you at a bus station to start your city trips if you want. You can go surfing, kite-surfing, sailing, kayaking and swimming in the summer at about 5 km away from our home. Experienced riders may go horse-riding.
Karin is up early and likes it to be quiet at night time.
