Temporary Notice for May and June:
Hello to anyone interested in staying with us. Please note we have limited availability in May and June.
Availability is limited and we can accommodate for maximum of 7-10 days, Unfortunately many applicants want to stay a months or more but we cant provide that. Right now ( for May and June) we need some extra help from those with strong DIY skills and especially those interested in roof repairs and others tasks that might involve climbing ladders. Normally we seek help from those interested in mainly gardening, general DIY projects and looking after the Dogs and some domestic duties but for most of May and June we are booked up and this is why we are posting this temporary notice.

    General info:
Hard working happily married couple Brendan and Kellie looking for help to manage our truly unique place in Kildare, Ireland. We are both well educated professionals while in our 50's and 60's are young at heart and are full of enthusiasm.
We live in a lovely old house with big gardens. We need help to maintain these gardens. The gardens contain orchard trees, grapes, hops and a poly tunnel.
We have 2 small dogs who need company, attention and playtime. Our workaway guest must really adore animals and especially dogs. They will stay with you as their friend when we cant be home so you must love to be around these two lovely characters and engage with them as real family members.
We have a brewery onsite and produce world class beers as one of our professions is brewing but we have many hobbies and skills that we can pass on as you can read below. Please give us a call if you think you might be suitable and discuss possibilities for how we can all benefit from the experience

    Profile photo of Eddie

    Eddie (2 years)

Eddie, can hear a pin drop a kilometer away, always on alert day and night. Had a hard previous life before we rescued him from the final furlong hotel.
Half corgi half German shephard he will regularly nip your ankles if you are in his way as his DNA dictates. Full of energy is also good at playing ball and loves attention any time its offered...otherwise he can chill or entertain himself failry well.
Full of life and great personality, protective and loves to do tricks for you ( all edible treats welcome).
Dont leave your car door open or he will be on the passenger seat. we dont know why he loves cars so much.
Loves to curl up in bed too but always one ear in the air!

    Profile photo of Missy

    Missy (7 years)

Missy loves playing ball. when she is not eating or sleeping she plays ball, before and after food she plays ball. She likes to play ball in the house too, when not playing ball in the house she likes to play ball in the yard. If a visitor comes the first thing she does is gets a ball to play ball with the visitor. If you make eye contact with Missy, to her, that means that you want to play ball too...so beware of looking at her because you will have to play ball with her or she lets you know about her disappointment. If you don't like to play ball please don't enter Missy's territory..
When not playing ball she sleeps from 9pm to 9am and when she gets up at 9am she goes out and finds a ball for you to play ball with her.
Other than playing ball Missy sunbathes. if the sun is out so is Missy. if its raining she not so happy.
When not playing ball, eating or sleeping she helps Eddie with security duties although Eddie is the commander in chief of security. They make an interesting pair with vastly different personalities and are great entertainment
