  • Description

    Description

We're located close to the Qu’Appelle Valley in central Saskatchewan. We are a mixed farm raising sheep, pigs, chickens & more, plus a certified organic grain farm and use regenerative farming practices to grow our crops.
This is our little piece of heaven, the yard is nestled in beautiful shelter belt of scotch pines and bordered by native poplar bluffs where you can pick wild berries in the summer months, watch the birds & wildlife with a southern view towards the valley.
We try to work with nature rather against her in all things we do!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange, I like to learn about how history, architecture and how things are done in other areas of the world.
I’m a jack of all trades & like to be self sufficient & do most of my repairs & construction projects myself.
My wife is a RN , works full time off farm.
We enjoy sitting around a fire at my parents roasting sausages for supper, going for a walk on the trails around the farm, or just relaxing.
There are many events in the valley to take part in over the year, we are close two major centers with lot of shopping.
the Motherwell National historic site is close by where you can learn about farming from the early 1900's, hiking trails in the Qu'Appelle Valley, fishing, boating or swimming on the 4 lakes that are within 6 miles of the farm, Mid Summer Arts Festival in Fort Qu'Appelle, Treaty Four Pow Wow in September, Agribition in Regina, July 1st celebrations in Fort Qu'Appelle, Winter Festival in Fort Qu' Appellle, Abernethy Fair is the oldest consecutive running fair in Saskatchewan, and we host and attend farm field days through out the summer where you can learn about regenerative organic farming practices
