    Description

We are a friendly, nature-loving family living on a beautiful 10-acre property. Our household includes myself, my husband, and our three young children (all 7 and under). We love spending time outdoors, growing our own food, planting natives, creating little projects around the land, and making our home a place that feels alive and connected to nature.

Life is full and busy with work, school runs, music lessons, and kids’ sport, so we really appreciate an extra set of hands and the chance to share our space with someone kind, grounded, and community-minded.

    Our property has three dwellings:

    Our family home

A second home where our close friends (two adults) live

A beautifully renovated granny flat, which would be your private accommodation

We’ve hosted friends and helpers informally before, and we love building that sense of shared community while still giving everyone space and independence.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our home offers a unique opportunity to experience Australian family and community life on a semi-rural property. You’ll interact closely with two households—our young family and our close friends—who share the land and collaborate on gardening, food growing, and outdoor projects.

Depending on how busy our week is, we often have shared meals, and enjoy someone who is interested in involvement in children’s activities, and participation in seasonal gardening practices. We enjoy learning about visitors’ backgrounds, traditions, and cooking styles, and we’re happy to share our own knowledge of native plants, Australian ecology, family routines, and regional lifestyle.

We hold seasonal community working bees which are always great fun too!

  • Help

    Help

Primarily, we’re hoping for help with:
    • Gardening and land care:
    – Maintaining veggie beds
    – Planting natives
    – General weeding, mulching, pruning
    – Helping with projects around the property (paths, small builds, compost systems, etc.)

    • Home support:
    – Help with home cooking or meal prep
    – Light household support if needed

    • Kids:
    – Play and supervision for short periods

Nothing is high-pressure — the main aim is simply having an extra person (or two!) who enjoy being outdoors and being part of a warm, busy household.
