ENGLISH PRESENTATION

We are Boris and Hélène, and we welcome you to our eco-village, comprised of three buildings (two of which have already been renovated) and six hectares of land. This place is intended to be an inspiring haven for rejuvenation, a stimulating community living space, and a place to reconnect with nature. It is a place striving for energy and food self-sufficiency.
We are trained in permaculture and try to apply its core principles.
This property is part of a hamlet of about ten houses (where eleven people live year-round), with a growing sense of sharing and solidarity. Our property is located within a Regional Natural Park. We cherish the tranquility of our hamlet surrounded by nature and are happy to share it with you, so that you too can experience its peace and quiet.
Our professions are our passions, and they revolve around personal development and creativity, using tools such as photography, phototherapy, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and astrology. We are often busy with our professional activities, so sometimes you will be working alone, sometimes with us. We will share at least lunch together.
This requires you to be able to work independently on-site, even though we provide clear guidelines and can answer your questions as you go.
There may be other volunteers on-site at the same time as you (we host 1 to 4 people), so please let us know if you would prefer to be alone or with other volunteers during your stay.

Nous sommes Boris et Hélène, nous vous accueillons dans notre éco-lieu constitué de 3 bâtisses (dont 2 déjà rénovées) et 6 hectares de terrain. Ce lieu a vocation d'être un lieu de ressourcement inspirant, de vivre-ensemble stimulant et de reliance à la nature. Un lieu qui tend vers l'autonomie énergétique et alimentaire.
Nous sommes formés à la permaculture, et essayons d'en appliquer les grands principes.
Ce lieu fait partie d'un hameau, constitué d'une dizaine de maisons (11 personnes y vivant à l'année), avec une dynamique grandissante de partage et de solidarité. Notre lieu est situé dans un Parc Naturel Régional. Nous apprécions la tranquillité de notre hameau en pleine nature et sommes heureux de la partager avec vous, afin que vous puissiez bénéficier de ce calme.
Nos professions sont des passions, et elles tournent autour du développement personnel et de la créativité, avec les outils : photographie, photo-thérapie, CNV et astrologie.
Nous sommes souvent occupés par ces activités professionnelles, donc parfois vous aurez à travailler seul.e.s, parfois avec nous. Nous partagerons au minimum le repas du midi ensemble.
Cela vous demande donc de pouvoir être autonome dans votre travail pour le lieu, même si nous donnons des directions claires et nous pouvons répondre à vos questions au fur et à mesure du travail.
Il peut y avoir d'autres volontaires en même temps que vous sur le lieu (nous accueillons 1 à 4 personnes), dites-nous si vous préférez être seul.e ou accompagné.e d'autres volontaires pour votre séjour.

We offer a healthy and comfortable environment, and in return, we ask for your active participation in your volunteer work.
We welcome volunteers for a minimum of one week and a maximum of two weeks.
Current tasks:
- Garden maintenance (weeding, clearing brush, watering, planting, pruning, etc.)
- Green space maintenance
- Tree felling
- Cleaning the guest house
- Beautifying the interior and exterior spaces
- Minor repairs (sanding, varnishing, painting, etc.)
Future projects:
- Planting and replanting an orchard
- Building composting toilets
Ideal volunteer profile for these projects: passionate about gardening and/or a skilled handyman/handywoman!
We would like to welcome people with the following skills:
- Dry stone wall construction
- Interior design (wooden furniture, storage solutions)
- Landscaping (ponds, groves, etc.)

Nous vous proposons un environnement sain et confortable, nous vous demandons en retour d'être impliqué.e.s dans votre volontariat.
Nous accueillons des volontaires pour 1 semaine minimum et 2 semaines maximum.
Travaux actuels :
- entretien du potager (désherbage, débroussaillage, arrosage, plantation, taille...)
- entretien des espaces verts
- tronçonnage
- nettoyage de la maison d'accueil
- embellissement des espaces intérieurs et extérieurs

It's important to us that there's a fair balance between what you give and what you receive during your stay with us.
The balance we propose is that you contribute 5 hours of volunteer work on-site per day (with 2 days off per week) in exchange for room and board.
You'll be welcomed into our renovated, detached house, dedicated to hosting retreats and workshops. The photos in our profile are of the actual space where you'll be staying. The house has 2 bathrooms (and 2 toilets), 4 bedrooms, 1 large activity room, and 1 large kitchen/dining room. The 4 bedrooms may need to be shared depending on the number of guests; please let us know if it would be important for you to have your own space.
The central heating is wood-burning. As the house is made of stone and rather poorly insulated, indoor temperatures can be cool during the winter (between 16 and 19 degrees Celsius). If you are sensitive to the cold, it will be important for you to have warm clothing between October and April.
You will have access to the 4G network regardless of your provider, as well as fiber optic internet via Ethernet cable (Boris is electrosensitive, so we do not have Wi-Fi).
If needed and upon request, you can use our washing machine.
Hot water and electricity are provided.
Food is provided (organic food + separate kitchen) and we will share approximately one meal per day.
We ask that you be independent in preparing your meals. If you prepare meals for us, your preparation time will be counted towards your volunteer time.
We tolerate smoking (outside and with a portable ashtray) and alcohol ONLY on special occasions. If you would prefer your stay to be alcohol-free and/or cigarette-free, please let us know (this is already our standard practice).
We do not allow cannabis use (except with a medical prescription).
Pets are not allowed in the house (possibly in your campervan, to be discussed).
Two adorable and affectionate cats live in our house.

Il est important pour nous que l'équilibre soit juste entre ce que vous donnez et ce que vous recevez lorsque vous séjournez chez nous.
L'équilibre que nous vous proposons est que vous donniez 5h de travail bénévole sur le lieu par jour (avec 2 jours de pause par semaine), en échange de l'hébergement et de la nourriture.
Vous êtes accueilli.e dans notre maison indépendante et renovée dédiée à l'accueil de retraites et stages. Les photos du profil sont celles des lieux où vous serez accueillis. Cette maison dispose de 2 salles de bains (et 2 WC), de 4 chambres, d'1 grande salle d'activité et d'1 grande cuisine/salle à manger. Les 4 chambres peuvent devoir être partagée selon le nombre de personnes accueillies, merci de nous préciser si ce serait important pour vous d'être seul.e.
Le chauffage central est à bois. La maison étant en pierre et assez mal isolée, pendant l'hiver les températures intérieures peuvent être fraîches (entre 16 et 19 degrés), si vous êtes frileux.se il sera donc important pour vous d'avoir des affaires chaudes entre octobre et avril.
Vous aurez accès au réseau 4G quel que soit votre opérateur, ainsi qu'à la fibre optique par câble ethernet (Boris étant électrosensible, nous n'avons pas de WIFI).
Au besoin et sur demande, vous pourrez utiliser notre machine à laver.
Eau chaude et électricité sont fournis.
La nourriture est fournie (aliments bios + cuisine indépendante) et nous partagerons en moyenne un repas par jour.
Nous vous demandons d'être indépendant.e.s pour la préparation de vos repas. Si vous préparez des repas où nous sommes conviés, votre temps de préparation sera comptabilisé dans votre temps de volontariat.
Nous tolérons la consommation de tabac (à l’extérieur et avec un cendrier portatif) et d'alcool UNIQUEMENT pour des occasions spéciales. Si vous préférez que votre séjour soit sans alcool et/ou sans cigarette, précisez-le nous (c'est déjà notre quotidien).
Nous n'acceptons pas la consommation de cannabis (sauf sur prescription médicale).
Nos amis les animaux de compagnie ne peuvent être accueillis dans la maison (éventuellement dans votre camion aménagé, à discuter).
Deux chattes adorables et câlines vivent dans notre maison.

Our place is very quite, surrounded by nature and far from the cities. The neighbours are mostly very nice.
Beautiful hiking trails around us, with viewpoints at the top of the mountains, and tourist sites around 30min away.
Place easily accessible by car, within 10 minutes of a village with most comodities, and within 1 hour of the nearest train stations: Albi or Castres (coming from Toulouse) or St Rome de Cernon (coming from Béziers/Clermont-Ferrand).
We can pick you up at the Montfranc or St Sernin sur Rance bus stops (bus line 708 direct from Albi or bus line 720 direct from Albi).
If you do not have a vehicle, you will need to drive with us (or with the neighbours).
Bicycle riding is possible if you are in good shape, as we live in steep hills.

Notre endroit est silencieux, entouré de nature et loin des villes. Nos voisin.e.s sont globalement très sympas.
De beaux chemins de randonnées autour de nous, avec point de vue en haut de montagnes, et lieux touristiques à environ 30min nous environnent.
Lieu accessible facilement en voiture, à 10 min de toutes les commodités et à 1h des gares les plus proches : Albi ou Castres (en venant de Toulouse) ou St Rome de Cernon (en venant de Béziers/Clermont-Ferrand).
Nous pouvons venir vous chercher aux arrêts de bus de Montfranc ou St Sernin sur Rance (ligne de bus 708 directe depuis Albi ou ligne de bus 720 directe depuis Albi).
Si vous êtes à pied, vous aurez besoin de vous greffer sur des trajets en voiture avec nous (ou avec nos voisin.e.s du hameau).
En vélo, les déplacements sont possibles si vous êtes en bonne forme physique (car il y a des pentes importantes).
