Description
Welcome. We are Italians and much more than this. At this moment we live in the coastal city of Barletta, Apulia.
We will be spending this summer (June-September) in a small holiday house on the Adriatic sea, which are now renovating. This place is around 10km from Barletta.
I am a 26 year-old soon-to-be mom, archaeology graduate, and fully invested in gardening and cooking for my family.
I am going to be rather busy with the newborn, so we are looking for someone who could replace me in taking care of the wooden furniture and finishing the renovation of the house.
It would also be a pleasure to host musicians and volunteers who could help with the maintenance of the house.
We have an electric guitar, a wood oven, a small abandoned garden to bring back to life, tennis rackets, a basketball hoop, and other games. There is always something to do. The seashore is a two minute walk from the house. We hear the sound of the waves from the garden.
Especially during summer our family gets extended, so if you are planning to learn Italian this might be paradise. Italians speak their Italian.
However, there are no shops in the village, only a small cafe and pizzeria, so we go grocery shopping in Barletta.
Bicycles and a small car will be available for the route village-Barletta.
Tap water is not drinkable, so the practice is to bring bottles filled up with tap water from our apartment in Barletta or from the local fountains of the acquedotto pugliese.Types of help and learning opportunities

There are many activities to relish in Barletta with the right company!
Long strolls along the seashore, a medieval castle, a majestic cathedral, an art gallery, a theatre, two movie theatres, along with many cafes and local cuisine. The train station is in the centre of the city, which makes every new itinerary accessible. The airport of Bari is 50km away and the port of Bari is equally near. I have lived in Greece for around two years, and I would be glad to help if Greece is your next destination.
I am a philosophy and archaeology graduate with an interest in plants, languages, natural skincare, art and farmlife.
You will be learning Italian without even noticing. My parents mostly speak Italian and know anything about modern Italian music.Projects involving children
