Description
Hey guys,
we are Martina from Germany and José from Colombia and we are looking for open minded and social travelers who want to share the experience of running a hostel together in Cali, Colombia.
After owning a Hostel for 5 years before the crazy Pandemic, we opened about three years ago now. So far it has been a huge success and we are still in love showing the real Cal to the backpacker community.
It's the salsa, the food, the people and their energy that make Cali a city that you might don't want to leave as soon as you have planned.
We have been having volunteers planning to stay for a month, that even ended up starting a whole new life in their new town.
Or others coming back a second time to volunteer, or a third, or a fourth...
So why don't you join our local staff and help us create an atmoshere that only you are able to provide?
You will not have any cleaning duties to complete during your stay with us, you are just going to be the support for one of our local staff. Also we are not offering any bar position for workaway volunteers.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cali is the Salsa Capital of the world, so of course volunteering with us involves a lot of SALSA! You will get a free group class (of Salsa or Bachata) every day and you can assist the Salsa teachers in their private lessons, while you practice and learn from them for free. Also you will get discounts on some parties in Cali as well as on our tours, where you can learn all about the city, its people and its food. And if this is not enough, you can hop by our coffee shop, where you also get a discount and can learn that coffee in Colombia is not only Salento. :)
Help
We are looking for volunteers supporting our front desk staff with the following tasks. Obviously you will get a personal introduction and training as well as a shift manual to check things you don't remember.
- Checking people in and out
- Handling bed sheets for Check Ins and Outs
Also, we’re always open for any artistic volunteering! If you happen to have a talent in painting murals, we offer you one of our walls with pleasure. :)
The most important thing however is, that we need you to bring a fun and relaxed vibe to the hostel! And maybe step into the role of an assistant dancer for our Salsa teachers - but hey, that could be worse! ;)
Last but not least: we’re not offering any bar position to workaway volunteers.Languages

What else ...
There's a million of things that you can do with your time off in Cali and especially in the hostel.
In the hostel:
- Take private Salsa or Bachata classes
- Be an assistant of other private Salsa or Bachata lessons
- Go our every night and enjoy Cali to the fullest!
- Take our tours around Cali which start directly from the hostel (Food tour, City Tour, Comuna 20 Tour)
- Go out every night and enjoy Cali to the fullest!
Escape the city:
- Hike to Tres Cruses
- Take a dip in River Pance
- Check out the butterfly sanctuary
- Take a day trip to the famous Kolibri house
- Go tubing in San Cipriano
- and so much more...
Also feel free to explore your talents with our „hostel support program for travelers“, which allows you to sell desserts, food, events or whatever comes to your mind! Just let us know what you have been thinking and we set up a way to make it possible.
All in all it definetly will not get boring for you, trust us!A little more information
