    Description

**This month we are looking for people who want to help out on a build or assist in kitchen/garden duties**

Hola familia from all parts of the globe,

We are a couple who met in Mexico a few years ago and decided to finally make roots somewhere this side of the world. We had a love of Yoga and decided 8 years ago that we wanted to live a fully Yogic life in the nature near plant medicines, so we arrived here and did just that! We lived three years without electricity but then our little boy arrived and we decided to change spaces and be a bit closer to civilisation. We are on a new land a bit closer to town (20 minutes hike into the jungle) and with electricity and Wifi - our intention to practice a healthy life away from too much contamination still remains our focus.

Our home is humble and basic. We travelled so many years without a home that we really realize home is where you make your heart. We've slept in hostals, on the street, in nature, in random stranger homes so understand that life really is what you make it. Right now were are committed to trying to live in balance with Mother Nature and going back to basics and build a space where we can share all of our skills and knowledge...if you come be prepared to spend time outdoors, use a dry toilet and have a small hike from town.

    About us:

We are both Yoga teachers and alternative therapists. We are trained in massage, energy work and have spent a lot of time traveling in temples, ashrams and shamanic healing spaces. JJ is also an artist and musician. We have a small child so our new role is parents and we are trying to consciously parent in a way that feels our child is connected with nature and has a healthy lifestyle.

We've taken a little bit of a diversion this last years in becoming more agriculture and construction based so we can get this project fully underway!

    Practical:

The exchange is 1-3 hours of help per day (15 max per week). In return we also offer daily Yoga classes at 6am every morning and use of the washing machine, electricity and Wifi. You will be given either a shared or private room with bedding and a mosquito net.

As we have a child and some other commitments, we like to have a structured day in terms of eating. We wake up early for breakfast, have lunch at noon and dinner no later than 6/7. We understand that is not everybody's bio rhythm but really encourage you to wake up with the nature. It also means we might be able to share with you some Yoga and meditation classes.

    Location:

The land is near a town called Mocoa where the Andes and start of Amazonic territory meet. The town itself is kinda small but busy so you can stay connected when you need to and do other things like Western Union if that's ever required. For us the beauty really is outside of the town and in the jungle that surrounds it; there are plenty of waterfalls, national parks, rivers, wildlife and forest to explore.

We are ten minutes away from a big swimming river and on the path to the most famous tourist attraction, an 80ft waterfall called "Fin Del Mundo".

Local indigenous communities are in surrounding areas. The main origins are Inga and Kamtza who have a strong lineage of plant medicine. We recommend that you speak to us personally if that is what you are interested in as we have a ceremonial space where we have two indigenous shamans that we have worked with over many many years :)

If you feel called to come then write us <3
