Description
Greetings,
We are Irakli (34) and Sali (28), young farmers living in an 100+ old house in the western part of Georgia. Our family consists of us two, three friendly dogs and one lovely cat.
In 2020, during the pandemic, we left our city life and moved to a farmstead. During the first few years we learned and explored different opportunities in local agriculture and in 2023 we started the first CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) project in Georgia, delivering fresh vegetables to the doorstep of more than 100 families.
We have been hosting volunteers since we started our CSA project in 2023.
Our work mostly consists of taking care of vegetables and herbs, preparing and clearing land plots, different DIY projects and working around the house.
Our fields of operation are divided into several parts:
- Our Farmstead Garden, with an area of 1000 sq.m. arable land and a 125 sq.m. greenhouse, usually used as a nursery.
- Our Main Field is 15 Hectares, which includes arable land, forest, a lake, streams and a river bank.
As aspiring gardeners, we are searching for ways to explore and to share experiences. We love to hosting people who like to have their hands dirty in the soil, enjoy working outside in the nature and enjoy the village life.
There are always tasks to be completed in our small farm and good helping hands are a great addition to our family and society.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are young people who believe that cultural exchange is a great of a benefit to all the parties.
Our village is located close to the main road from Tbilisi to Batumi and is easily accessible from any part of Georgia, while also being a bit remote.
We are located close to Kolkheti National Park which is nominated on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Several touristic places are also within the reach from our farm, like Botanical Garden, Black Sea Arena Concert Hall, Gomi Mountain, Bakhmaro, Dikhashkho Sulfur Baths and so on.
In Summer, Black Sea beach is in 30 minutes drive from the farm, so we usually have trips to the sea as well.
There are lots of opportunities to explore within the reach of our farm.
We are 30 minutes drive from Kutaisi Airport, 1 hour drive from Batumi and Kutaisi and 4 hour drive from Tbilisi.Help

We live all together in a 100+ years old house. The rooms are not perfectly placed, so we have some shortage on privacy. Mostly we are hosting 2+ people in one room.
There is a possibility to sleep on the balcony (best place in summer) or in the CornHouse, that we are going to build during this season. What else ...
We are very friendly married couple and we love having guests at our place. We will be living and working together, while sharing experiences and enjoying the time.
We are friendly for trips and forest walks and different games and activities on our farm.

During June we were occupied with the task of cultivating, planting seedlings and doing odd jobs around the house.
Sali is a great cook and we ate tasty Georgian food every night.
We had our own place which we… read more

My main aim was to try and learn farming, but unfortunately, I had some back problems and couldn't help in every task but did all I could. So thankful that host understood that and gave me easier options, or I just helped at the house. Learnt how to do transplanting, seeding for sure!
