  • Description

We are a small organic farm, working towards sustainability and self sufficiency. We are looking for workawayers who can help with organic sustainable farming (veggies and almonds, herbs and worms) and anyone who has initiative, energy and skills to add to our life style. Accommodation and meals supplied. Meals are taken with us in our home. Our farm is on top of a mountain surrounded by Cape Fynbos and export fruit. A monthly farmers market, guest cottages and a camp site ensure a constant flow of people.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

They can immerse themselves in the culture we live in. We are very involved in community projects as well as striving towards sustainability. Workawayers are involved in all we do, and share in the homelife as is run here on the farm.

  • Help

Farm activities vary according to the season and new eco projects are regularly tackled - at present we are wanting to get off the electricity grid. Upkeep of our hiking trails, designing of trail indicators, general maintenance and upkeep of compost showers as well as composting in all its forms are some of the jobs here.
Self-reliance, work-enjoyment and creativity are some of the traits we look for in our workawayers.

    What else ...

We try and integrate workawayers with the neighbouring farms to experience some of the other opportunities available; sometimes they help with packing fruit, picking and packing flowers for export or just mingle with the locals. They become part of our day to day life and get to experience our life-style and the community we live in first hand.
