    We are Nicole and Jean-Marie and we are currently renovating our Renaissance house, which dates back to 1650. The house is located in Chainaux, Belgium, in the Pays de Herve region, where French is spoken. It lies in the peaceful, natural area of ​​the Belgian Ardennes. The nearest larger cities are Aachen, Liège, and Maastricht.
    We also have Loki, our cat, and Onita, our draft horse.

    Wir sind Nicole und Jean-Marie und renovieren gerade unser Renaissancehaus aus 1650. Das Haus liegt in Chainaux in Belgien, in Pays de Herve wo französisch Gesprochen wird. Es liegt in dem ruhigen Naturgebiet der belgischen Ardennen. Die nächsten größern Städte sind Aachen, Lüttich und Maastricht.
    Bei uns leben noch Loki unsere Katze und Onita unser Kaltblut Pferd.

    My passion is creative work with natural materials, dyeing linen, and refinishing furniture with color. Jean-Marie is a skilled craftsman and enjoys sharing his knowledge.
    Together, we want to create a place where experience, craftsmanship, art, and joie de vivre come together. We look forward to learning from each other and discovering new perspectives.


    Bei uns kannst du das ruhige, naturverbundene Leben in Belgien kennenlernen - zwischen deutscher, französischer und wallonischer Kultur. Wir sprechen Deutsch, Niederländisch, Englisch und etwas Französisch und freuen uns über Menschen, die unsere Lebensfreude mit uns teilen.

    Meine Leidenschaft ist kreatives Gestalten mit natürlichen Materialien, Leinenfärben und Möbel farbig neu gestalten.
    Jean-Marie ist handwerklich erfahren und gibt sein Wissen gerne weiter.

    Bus line 738 stops at Chaineux Eglise, which is 1 minute away from our beautiful house.
    Alternatively, you can take the train to Verviers-Central station.
    Pick-up at Aachen station is also possible by arrangement.

    The area offers numerous opportunities for hiking and cycling, as well as lovely markets (especially flea markets) and village festivals.


    Die Buslinie 738 an der Haltestelle Chaineux Eglise ist 1 min von unserem schönen Haus entfernt.
    Alternativ zum Bahnhof Verviers-Central.
    Abholung am Bahnhof in Aachen wäre nach Absprache auch möglich.

    In der Gegend gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und Radfahren, sowie schöne Märkte (vor allem Flohmärkte) und Dorffeste.
