    Description

We are an established English and Japanese school located in Indonesia's biggest English teaching community. We offer scholarship preparations for scholarship seekers. Some of our students were accepted in universities abroad in Europe, Malaysia, Australia and some other countries. Our school is located in the heart of the 'English village', with a beautiful view of the scenery and close proximity to the cafes, market, and ATMs.

We want to give an unforgettable experience to our students who learn English and Japanese by giving them access to native speakers for teaching and learning process. On the other hand, we want to promote our culture to foreigners (and learn theirs too) so that we will have a better understanding for both with the hope to make a better world community.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Indonesia is a diverse country with population of people from different background of tribes, traditional languages and religions. This is a melting pot of them (not to mention students from abroad such as Yemen, Thailand and others) who come together for one purpose; learning English. Recently other school of other languages such as Japanese, Arabic and Mandarin emerge as a result of increasing demand to study those languages. During the pandemic, we are still open with limited number of students and monitored health protocol.

Workawayers will have the chance to learn how to interact with our tutors from different parts of Indonesia and our students who stay in our camps who are preparing to study or work abroad. The students are mostly university graduates with some students from senior high school as well as professionals. You will learn how to manage the students in terms of communicating with foreigners which is a challenge since mostly people teach here using Indonesian. We can provide trainings in teaching if Workawayers don't come from teaching background.

    Help

We want Workawayers who are native or the people who speak good English or Japanese to teach and interact with our students. Although it is not required, having a teaching background will be a plus since it will support the teaching and learning process. In addition, the Workawayers might be asked to provide trainings for the tutors to upgrade their teaching skills.

You will assist our main teachers or teach on your own if you feel convenient, typically 1.5 hour per class. In a day you will have 2-3 classes. On Thursday, we have a special occasion where our students perform speeches in English and Japanese.

Lastly, occasionally we make contents on IG or Youtube for educational or promotional purposes. Our volunteers are more than welcome to appear on the photos or videos that we create.
