  Hello! We’re a mixed couple living on the remote, beautiful island of Karimunjawa, Indonesia. Together with our three-year-old twins, we enjoy a laid-back, nature-connected lifestyle and are looking for a babysitter to become part of our family for the next few months.
  
  We run a small hospitality business and are well connected with both the local community and travelers visiting the island. Life here is both peaceful and chaotic, social and quiet, relaxing and adventurous; and we love it that way. We hope to find someone who will feel just as comfortable and happy in this dynamic setting.

  🌴 Volunteer with Us in Karimunjawa – Skilled Projects, Family & Community 🌴
  We welcome skilled volunteers who want to contribute their experience to specific projects on our island. Rather than general help, we are looking for people who bring proven skills in one clear area and can help us complete defined projects during their stay.
  
  Current Volunteer Roles (experience required):
  🎨 Creative (Painter / Photographer / Artist)
  Painting murals or decorative elements, creating visual content (photography), and contributing to artistic improvements of our spaces.
  🌱 Carpenter / Gardener
  Improving and structuring the garden, creating a functional vegetable garden, and supporting small building, maintenance, or improvement projects.
  🍽 Kitchen & Restaurant Development
  Helping develop and test menu ideas, recipe creation and documentation, improving kitchen workflows, hospitality training, and service optimization.
  💻 Digital Support
  Creating designs in Canva, writing and improving website texts, developing FAQ pages and structured content, and supporting communication and content planning.
  📊 Business Administration & Automation Support
  Assisting with general business administration, improving internal systems, setting up or optimizing workflows, templates, and simple automations to make daily operations smoother and more efficient.
  🧼 Cleaning Workshops & Training Improvement
  Supporting the development and improvement of cleaning standards, organizing and giving cleaning workshops, creating clear checklists and training materials, and helping raise overall hygiene and comfort levels.
  
  💡 What’s it like here?
  We can host several volunteers at once, though sometimes you may also be here on your own.
  Tasks are flexible: you can focus on what excites you most or try a mix.
  You’ll be living in a beautiful island environment, sharing daily life with our family, connecting with locals, and joining creative and eco-minded projects.

  🛏️ A private room in our extended family home, with your own bathroom and a fan for comfort. Or a room at our accommodation depending on availibility
  🛵 Use of a (shared) motorbike so you can explore the island independently.
  🍲 Daily breakfast at our accommodation 8-10 am.

  Explore the island’s pristine beaches, vibrant snorkeling reefs, and jungle trails.
  Meet locals and fellow travelers , we often host or collaborate with visitors.

  📌 Please Note:
  There’s no public transport on the island, riding a motorbike is essential for independence.
  We prefer volunteers who can stay at least 2–4 weeks
  We’re happy to assist with your visa process, volunteer visas are available now in Indonesia
