    Description

We're a small family living an urban/rural hybrid lifestyle on 1.5 acres, 2 hours northeast of Toronto. It's a quiet rural setting, but only a 10min drive to the nearest town, Lindsay, ON.
We have an 800 square ft garden, pond, fire pit, evolving permaculture, and currently a lot of trees down from a recent ice storm. Our focus is to continue developing our micro-homestead's productivity and enjoyment of it.
On top of normal garden and property duties, we have a ridiculous amount of wood to process this summer.
I have used this site as guest in past travels, and look forward hosting good people looking for a quiet place to chill for a while.

We're a good time, but go to bed early most nights and don't really party anymore. We cook a lot of good food, are social with friends, and our animals and daughter are all amazing creatures to be around. We drive into town as well as Toronto often, there's lakes and rivers close, bicycles here to use. We're from the city but moved to the country to raise our daughter and enjoy a life that's better for us.

    Accommodation

We have a nice 16ft camper that sleeps 2 with electricity, WIFI, and a large, comfortable, clean bed. You will have access to a washroom inside the house, and we prefer you use this as I don't want the camper washroom used. There's a 3-burner stove in the camper, a BBQ, and firepit all available for cooking.
We provide $20 per working day for food. Everyone eats so differently, we'd prefer you figure it out for yourself instead of us trying to buy food for varying diets.
There will be opportunity to join us for meals, but our schedules don't permit regular meal scheduling.
